Default Other MLS Game - DCU @ NYCFC Thurs Sept 1st 7pm

Of some interest to us. DCU offence has risen Phoenix like of late. But neither team has a great defence.

Why are they scheduling games on Thursdays?

Makes no sense - Yankees are in Baltimore this weekend. There are also 4 games on Saturday.

So far so good....1-0 DC with Sam scoring in the 36th minute.
A DC win and keeping Villa off the scoresheet would be just fine by me

DC a very different team once they added some attacking ability.

D.C. is so bad. Really shouldn't have hoped for anything from them tonight.

Like I said... D.C. is awful.

That defense is the reason NYCFC won't challenge for the Cup this year though.

That game was not a defensive masterpiece.

Terrible DCU defense more awful than terrible NYCFC defense. #VanneyOut

Got to give credit to Frankie boy though. 38 yrs old and still scoring goals for fun, numbers 301 and 302 tonight, and on Frank Lampard day to boot. I think he may have won over their fans now.

Absolutely horrendous, amateur defending. DC united shameful.

Lampard has the one trick that MLS defences can't handle - the late run from the midfield. Couple that with his technical ability with the ball around his lower body and boom - 11 goals. Its also how Johnson scores his goals (see the Voyageur's).

But NYCFC is so lopsided - they have a front six and then 5 guys on an island.
