Default Sept. 18 game moved from 7pm to 5pm! Game is nearly sold out, such bollocks!

Sept. 18 game moved from 7pm to 5pm! Game is nearly sold out, such bollocks!

What the hell is this crap and what can we do about it, we'll have to resell the tickets again to ensure another sellout:

The TFC website still has the game listed as 7pm though it's now 5pm!

Could it be as stupid as someone waking up and realizing the Emmy Awards are that night?

    Seriously

This info leaked about a week ago with a few people in here saying the timing was actually better for them. It was only officially announced today by Fox. Its a big deal for them and for MLS that Fox is committing to use MLS as network sports between NFL games. That is HUGE.

We play the next 2 games well, this will sell out.

This won't be a problem for me but i hope they get the word out soon. A lot of people will be changing plans, even 28,000 attendance would be disappointing.

    Perhaps a Brazilian soap opera.

Yea they should spread the word asap, I havent heard anything outside this thread. It's definitely making my commute after work much harder. Luckily I might still make it.

Well it's huge to go from FS1 to the main Fox network, depending on how it the regional breakdown goes with the NFL games.

As far as I see on the NFL sched, Fox only was Seattle @ LA, and Tampa Bay @ Arizona on at the 4pm start time that Sunday.

That's a pretty good part of the USA television market that Fox is opening our game up to.

As well it gives FOX the LA market to show the Galaxy game (MLS @ 11am Pacific, NFL starting @ 1:05 Pacific) and the New York Market for t our game versus NYRB (Jets play on Thursday, Giants @ 1pm, NYRB versus us now at 5pm).

Seeing this switch in terms of FOX and their ratings, this switch actually makes sense.

And here I was thinking and told the time switch was so a USWNT friendly could be televised.

Seriously, that was the entry point of the discussion - its in the MLS/TFC banter thread.
