This isn't that complicated. If I can see the giant storm over the Houston area on my smartphone app from a couple thousand km's away, then surely they know what the area is like there at the stadium.

Realistically, this game either goes tomorrow night or later in the season. No way they can play a game during the mid day Texas heat.
i would blame the league more than Houston, I suppose. They're the ones making the decision and taking really long to do so. Probably are cancelling it but figuring out when it will be replayed? Maybe that's the reason for the delayed announcement?
