I hate it when Bunbury scores on us. Williams was poor on marking.
Good win vs NE who's sucking hard lately, but TFC was coming off a mid week game. Another 3 pts in the bag and now 4 wins in a row.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Top notch camera work.
Have we ever won all three games in a three game in a week set?
Well, that was just the greatest homestand in team history.....
What could Heaps possibly have had against Seba in that?
yup. last year with Vanney
This has been a great response after that San Jose game.
I kept actually hoping that somebody else other than Seba would score at the end just to stop the "Vanney does nothing its all Seba" crew! We could have actually scored a hatfull tonight - Ricketts could have scored at least two and others missed chances. A great performance all around. Seba will get the headlines, but that was a fantastic team win.
you mean like Jozy!!!!
Shame about the clean sheet, that was pretty much Williams getting caught ball-watching and losing his man. Besides that, another very good performance. Loved seeing Giovinco search for Altidore after he came on, and happy to see him get another goal... well, kind of see it. Thanks Sportsnet.
Moor, Osorio, Chapman all really good tonight. And Giovinco obviously. Bradley was good defensively but his passing was definitely off. Likely just some rust there.
I've also moved very far away from my thinking that trading Hagglund would have been a best-for-everyone move. It helps that he's getting more playing time with Perquis gone of course, but he's actually a pretty useful player as an aerial defensive specialist. He won so many contested headers today - I think Drogba is the only player in the league that could consistently win aerials against him. Hagglund is still really rough on the ball and with his passing, but as a late game sub when up a goal and expecting the other team to start pumping balls into the box, he's valuable.
Perfect homestand. Got some squad rotation in, Giovinco back in form, kids performing better and better, and Vanney with good decisions throughout. We're in a great place.
Can't remember when the last time was I saw osorio play with the edge he had tonight. Let's see some more of that please!
Only downside: sportsnet's camera work on that last goal. Get it together guys!
Jay heaps has the look of a desperate coach. He was Marineresque on the sidelines tonight. I don't care if every call went his way, they'd still be losing this game by 2 goals.

Nice to be able to drop in a couple squad players (Bloom, Hagglund) who haven't played much in a while and have them both perform well. Is this what having depth is like?
Great job taking care of business at home. You can argue that the opponents were not great but we did what we had to do. Keep playing like this and we should lock up the top seed in the East.
Just surfing some NE fan reactions to the game - it's amusing how people treat Giovinco as though he's not part of our team, and so goals scored by him "don't count" in determining how the teams played, or something.
“Heroism breaks its heart, and idealism its back, on the intransigence of the credulous and the mediocre, manipulated by the cynical and the corrupt.” ~Christopher Hitchens
Yeah that was pretty bad from sportsnet, did not even see where Jozy's goal originated from. They only showed him kicking it into the net. Apparently the goal was unassisted.
Good game overall and nothing really to criticize. Giovinco's goal #2 has to be in the top 3 goals he has ever scored with us.
The most impressive aspect of our recent form is the fact that so many key players have been out of the lineup. With Giovinco playing to his potential and our injured starters slowly returning, this team could be a serious contender.
Fantastic effort to close out the best homestand in franchise history.

Great overall performance. What can you say about Giovinco...what a hat-trick! The only criticisms I'd have tonight are that Bradley should not have played the whole second half. He was quite shaky giving the ball up badly several times in the first part of the second half. I would have kept Chapman on who had another excellent game and broke Bradley in more slowly. Altidore was also a bit shaky prior to his goal - I was surprised that he didn't get the start. Rickets is looking like a decent add to this team. Nice to see Osario step up his game. Bono was excellent - I really like his distribution might be the best distributor from goal that we have had in a while. The test for Vanney for me will be if he has the balls to sit Bradley, Altidore, Irwin, etc when the young lads are playing better than them?
That game was fun!
3 key passes from Chapman today and 2nd highest passing percentage. Pretty sure he makes my starting XI if I'm putting together an ideal one with our roster right now.
Good guy Giovinco, makes sure he scores a hat trick in the 2 of the 4 games in this home stand that didn't include a free hat giveaway.
???
This is Vanney's team.
'Vanney Ball' is: play like it is nil - nil and you are hungry for a goal until the final whistle.
No TFC team has ever played like this and it isn't because of Michael Bradley or Sebastian Giovinco.
Look at the young guys and tell me he isn't amazing.
TFC plays incredibly exciting football.
Fun night. This team is good.
Actually we have... In 2012 we beat Vancouver on July 11th, NER in the 14th Away) and the Rapids on the 18th.
Though for the same lovers in 2014 we did actually lose two 3 games in a week sets in that one year.
On the plus side.. this is the first time that we did it all at home and was part of a larger winning streak. This was big.. I would never have put money on that score line.
Just for those keeping score.. assuming all teams keep playing to their current PPG We need to win 8 or win 7 and tie 3 of the last 11 games for a shot at the Supporters Shield. ... 6 of the last 11 are games we should win ideally. That leaves two Montreal, two Philly, and a NYRB game. that we need to pull 6 points out of..
If we can keep playing like this.. we may actually be able to make a run for the shield. ... I can't believe I'm typing it.. but at this point based on the schedule.. it is actually a realistic possibility.. maybe a little unlikely but very possible.

The schedules in the west down the stretch are a bit of a blood bath, it's possible. Not likely, but possible.

Did anyone see what happened with the free kick on Altidore's goal? Sportsnet had no clue, all replays started just before he shot.
