I really thought Vanney should have subbed Giovinco off at around 60-70 minutes.

I think its likely now we see Rickets somewhere in the midfield or fullback for the majority of the game, our fitness is going to be put to the test.

Training at higher altitude is going to put RSL at an advantage in these conditions. This one might end up being a tie, we really need to be compact for this game.

The idea is getting Giovinco-Altidore comfortable playing together. Bringing Giovinco off wouldn't have helped that.

Giovinco was holding up 3 fingers and shouting at Vanney " WTF? 3 minutes left and your keeping me on?"

There was no need to keep him on the entire 93 minutes since the game was already in the bag and he was not chasing a hat-trick. Should have been subbed off
    afetr 80 minutes.

Salt Lake didn't look unbeatable vs Philly yesterday. They gave them a lot of room with Philly getting time in the box late in the match. Good stuff.

I don't understand this. If the coach wants you to play the whole game you play the whole game.

    A couple of things

    a) Ricketts maybe on the right of midfield but not as a full back as we have lots of choices for both sides there right now.

    b) Since when does Giovinco want to come off? I didn't watch him after the Altidore goal but Williams for Endoh was always going to be the sub - he had been prepping for 2 minutes before the goal. The pressure from CBus was from crosses into their big forwards.

    EDIT

OK went back and watched it on MLS Live - 91:30 Zaveletta kicks the ball out instead of passing it to somebody. Seba looks at Zaveletta and points using 3 fingers. He also went on to talk to Zaveletta after the whistle.

I thought this was aimed at the player who booted it out under little pressure (Bono?) as in "we're up by 3 why so conservative?". Could be wrong though.

Any combination of Bloom, Ricketts, Altidore and Williams could replace starters from last game to rotate tired bodies.

Great line up. Maybe Bradley as a late sub?

RSL has been having a bit of meh stretch over last 6 weeks. They have a lot of exciting players but just haven't been able to put it together. Still pretty much being held together by old geezers Dirty Hippie, Rimando and Javier Morales. And a dangerous front 3 of wee man Plata, Movsisyan and Burrito Martinez. Watch for Martinez. He's got moves like Giovinco that'll land a defender on his ass.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Anyone know if Cheyrou will still be out for this one? Not sure if they ever said how bad his injury was.

Game Day Weather will be almost perfect

Yura Movsisyan is questionable with an injury.

BTW, RSL's away record is tied for second best in the league.

I hope the Reds are up for it with such a quick turn around. It could be a dangerous one if they are not. Hopefully its not a trap game.

I'm worried about TFC's record of having ex-players bite us in the ass. There is a certain ex-player on RSL. Although, to be honest, I still like that guy.

As long as we win, I would be happy for Plata to score.

I am more worried about the fact that the combined age of our midfield is barely breaking 80.

    Let's hope Aaron Maund doesn't have a break-out game

I want to see Ricketts play again. During his first game he definitely made a difference coming off the bench, he seems to be a scoring threat so he can take some of the focus off Giovinco. I don't mind Hamilton but most of the time he seems non existent on the field.

Almost unbelievable but Vanney with a chance to Tie a #TFCLive team record tonight with a 3rd consecutive win. #TFC

The things you read at times. Goes to show how up-and-down things are in MLS. Stories about feast to famine and vice versa every season. You have to work hard to be great but also to be Chivas / Chicago / early TFC years bad.

Vanney won 4 straight matches towards the end of last season. Sept / Oct 2015. Colorado, Chicago, Phili, NYYB (all at home)
That is our record of consecutive wins
