Go Vikings! Thanks for posting these. It is always a pleasure to read.

Larin/Akindele scoring and MTL losing are two reasons I will watch other matches. The latter, though, could happen a little more often.

Don't look now but Lampard has 7 goals. He is scoring in the exact same way he used to for Chelsea - late runs into the box and boom its in.

    8 with a penalty

Kinda proves to me that a keeper DP is worthless.

Yikes. Poor Howard. That game looked slow motion, too.

There have been pitch problems at that stadium since it has opened. I don't know why they don't just go for Desso Grassmaster, unless there some technical limitation preventing it from being installed.

Do these stadiums have the sub-soil drainage, heating, etc that BMO Field has? I was also surprised about the pitch at San Jose's stadium, e.g., for the All Star & Homegrown games. The field looked pretty good at first, but big chunks coming up everywhere during play.

Isn't that where the USMNT development facilities are? you would think they would have a good groundskeeper.

    dallas looks good.

looks like they are generating no revenue too. Hats off to their management team. Maybe we would be better using $$$ to poach Pareja, their FO team & academy guys, rather than having bez phone around for 4th DP

The development facilities are under construction, they are not going to be at Sporting Park or whatever it is called now. But your point is still true, they built a first class facility but can't seem to get the surface right.

Lots of good results for TFC today. Orlando was the only other Eastern team to pick up 3 points.

They had 90% possession in the highlights. It looked terribly lopsided and Vancouver looked toothless.

Urruti with a cracker. Laba and DeJong had a busy day in not a good way.

Wow. DC shot from the hip that match. Balls everywhere and a missed penalty for DC. Silly Drogba responding to a missed call from a bad tackle meant Drogba gets the red but Montreal score with a man down.

Pretty terrible game as in sloppy but plenty talking points.

Yes! Another from Larin as well! NE was dangerous but it was the Kamara show. We'll have to bring everything on Sat. They'll be rested.

Larin is so gone after this season. Orlando will have to find a replacement, but they're gonna get a nice transfer fee for him and a bunch of allocation money from it. And to think they were trying to trade the #1 pick before that draft.

Seems like the right time to go, unless Kreis wants to build a team around him. This is unlikely and with the sweet, sweet allocation kick, that gives Kreis some flexibility next season.

That goal was Larin with a whip snap kick on his "wrong" foot.

MLS Youtube channel has a weekly highlights vid if you want to catch up on the other games

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

    -Eduardo Galeano
