    Default Other MLS Games - July 15 - 17th

Lots of games this weekend with interesting permutations to the standings. Not many early evening games

    Friday

Only 1 game tonight and its late.

Houston @ LAG 11pm - could get ugly
Why you should stay up to watch this game? Cause you like offence even from people you can't stand -that and we play Houston in a month in Texas heat.
    Prediction: 0-4

    Saturday

DCU @ Columbus 7:30pm - both teams badly want a win
Why you should watch this game? DCU comes to town in a week
    Prediction: 2-2

SKC @ Colorado 9pm - Best defence and unbeaten at home against the team who shoots the most
Why you should watch this game? Vermes meltdowns meets Maestrioni histrionics - or you like defence
    Prediction: 1-2

Chicago @ Dallas 9pm - will get ugly
Why you should watch this game? Speed and goals in the Texas heat
    Prediction: 0-5

NER @ RSL 10pm - RSL's tight midfield and width unbeaten at home against NER's go for it offence with only 1 away win
Why you should watch this game later? Two fun offences to watch
    Prediction: 2-3

Orlando @ Vancouver 10pm - the longest roadtrip in the league - Orlando without Kaka still, Vancouver still figuring themselves out
Why you should watch this game later? Cyle Larin vs. those pesky Vancouver guys on the mutually known turf
    Prediction: 2-1

    Sunday

Seattle @ Portland 3pm - don't you know these two teams invented derbies? - both teams badly need a win
Why you should watch this game? The TIFO, the edge, the hype, the inevitable bad call both sets of supporters will argue about for weeks
    Prediction: 1-2

NYCFC @ Montreal 5pm - loses a bit of lustre with Piatti suspended and Drogba still out - NYCFC statement game
Why you should watch this game? As much as I despise NYCFC, Pirlo and Lampard and Villa have been value for money the last few weeks
    Prediction: 4-1

NYRB @ Philly 7pm - Union good at home, NYRB not good away - Philly statement game
Why you should watch this game? Jesse Marsch melt downs vs. Jim Curtin's Joe Clarkness
    Prediction: 1-3

LA stutter as does Keane. Only saw highlights but there weren't many. Early handball and missed taken penalty from Keane frustrated LA and Houston never really answered LA's attack. Gerard easily finishes an easy opportunity after the hark work is done.

Wish I saw more of Warner. Scoreline like that he couldn't have done to poor in front of the back four.

Nordecker 80% full tonight in CBus. Sam looking dangerous on the right side for DCU but their midfield is a shambles. Bill Hamid can steal a game though. CBus continues with the inability to get the through pass into the area.

Vancouver's double pivot is a dumpster fire. Drop Jacobsen, bring in McKendry and play a 4-1-4-1. Laba is skilled enough to protect the backline by himself.

That card was something else. All ball tackler gets stepped on...

DC didn't look unbeatable but we'll have to change things to beat him Sat.

NYCFC with another away win. 6th this season, against Mtl.

Vieira is having success. Why? Because the players respect him and his authority and work their balls off for him. Incl old men Lamps and Pirlo

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

Who had Vieira flying high and Biello struggling a bit? Not me.

Also, according to Paul Tenario, fmr Orlando beat writer, now covering MLS for FourFourTwo, Kreis in advanced discussions to take over at OCSC.

Why is Philly 2nd in the East?

Philly was down 2-0 at half time. Curtin motivates his team, makes some adjustment and Philly comes back to draw 2-2. Probably should have won if not for Ilsinho being a dumb ass and got sent off.

Dallas beats Chicago with Urruti kicking off the scoring.

Also - you could hear Dallas fans doing something I'll call

    The Cowboy Clap

    Completely original.

That commentary was incredibly bias. Lucky for Vancouver. They were lucky to get the point. Happy for Davies, though. Happier for Larin.

I noticed Lefevre was on the bad side of every goal against to varying degrees his fault but I don't see him starting for much longer.
