“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Columbus is a pretty bad dumpster fire right now. Not as bad as Chicago, but something's really wrong in Columbus. Perfect time for TFC to pick up some points. Esp with Higuain is still out.

Interesting, Giovinco already had a small tear in his shirt before he went hulk. I wonder where that was from.
Columbus is in a downward spiral right now. They should be good for 3 points, I hope. These are the games that will make a difference later down the line when points are truly at a premium. All time against the Crew we are 5W - 12L - 9D 30GF 40GA. In the last 5 we are 1W - 2L - 2D 6GF 9GA. If we can contain O. Kamara which seems to be their only real threat right now we will do fine. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jozy make the bench for this one and perhaps see some time in the last 15.

Ethan Finlay says that he fully expects 3 points on Wednesday because Toronto is definitely a very beatable team. We don't have a full lineup back yet but it is still going to be a better lineup than the last time we played them which is probably what he is going on I would think. I like when teams are overconfident playing us though especially even better if we can kick them while they are down to shake that confidence even further. Let's go REDS!!!
What other teams seem to be forgetting is our back line is basically intact. Yes, we are missing Irwin, and nobody would prefer Bono over him. But, the base of TFC's success this season comes from that back line.
I still think people in this league think TFC's defence is just going to roll over and give up leads/goals like we used to until 2016. Our goals against is 3rd best in the league - over half a season that is not a fluke.
Not saying we are going to win this game, because winning away in MLS is tough. BUT, based on what we have done so far this season, we are going to be tough to score on and will get our chances. That's all we can ask for.
I'm thinking this game will end 1-1.
Crew have only won 3 games all season (all at home), the fans are on players backs and want Berhalters head on a platter.
This looks like a good chance for points but I have a nagging feeling (based on nothing, just cos) that this is the game the Crew bounce back. We shall see.
Is Jozy going to be good to go for this game or is it too soon still?
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Seems the CBus owner has put their coach on the hot seat by saying Saturday was the low point of the season. They got two home games this week - no wins and he's out I think.
Could go either way for us this aspect - players may or may not be willing to play for him.
For once I say something goes our way. This time I say we ruin another coaches future.
I'm calling 3-1 for us with Seba getting on the board and shortly after the match Berhalter gets shown the door.
For those not keeping track, Higuain is out for CBus. Ola Kamara has 8 goals (same as Giovinco) in 11 games. He's has as many shots as Larin with half the minutes.
i.e. They look to him all the time.
From a Crew forum
Ruh-ohTerrific. 50% chance of thunderstorms at kickoff. 60% at 8 o'clock.
Yes but 9 oclock is 10% - as long as its not a Dallas situation.
I'm hoping the team are chartering straight from CBus to San Jose afterwards?
Columbus is a shambles, Seba starving for a goal but seeing decent play from the youngsters, should mean a big win for TFC but I've seen this movie before. I'm afraid Bono gets found out in this game. 2-1 Columbus despite a whole bunch of scoring chances for TFC.

What no Perquis??
anybody know why Perquis doesn't get the starts anymore? also, this game is for the taking, its mid-summer now and we need to climb away from relegation and into up towards first second and third,
They should have put Perquis in just to troll CBus but then TFC twitter would have a meltdown over unprofessionalism (this coming from mostly people tweeting while working) and soon we'd be discussing how this fits into Emerald City Supporter group chants, late 80's Man United fans and the world view of Maxi Rodriguez vis a vis the Canadian Tenors and Pokemon Go.
Wondering if someone can help clarify the kickoff time for me...will it be 7pm/7:10pm, or 7:30pm/7:40pm??
All media by both teams and league says 7 pm.
