Dichio status??!
While I'm anxious to see Barrett take to the field for us, I'm still wondering about Dichio and his return. I think it was Ives that quietly reported last week that Dichio's concussion situation was worse than suspected and that it was quite possible that he'd be out for the season. Has anyone else heard this or any follow-up to it?

It turns out Dunivant has actually yet to free up a roster spot. According to the transfer rules, we actually have to sign someone to replace the spot before we can put anyone on the season ending injury list. I also get the impression that we are still on the hook for the salary against our cap, but who knows how that works.Originally Posted by onemanbarmyarmy

dunny's only owed about 40K from here on in, though, so it's not a big hardship against the cap. I'm assuming they have some allocations bigger than that sitting around to cover.
the thing with Dichio is that he heads the ball so much ... i hope his noggin can handle that style of play again this season. he also gets physical and knocked around a lot, so it could be a tough test to come back now.

As much as it hurts us and as much as I want to see him play...I hope Danny takes the rest of the year off and recovers to the best degree possible. Rushing him out there only risks his health now and in the future.
We need a signing...a DP signing if necessary to fill this gap left by The Man.

A source told me that Danny will be back for the game against New York. He wanted to play this weekend, but he is not in game shape
