Vancouver at RSL 10 pm Plata has been the consensus MVP so far this season.

San Jose at Portland 10 30 pm Blood and thunder balls to the wall stuff this should be - won't be the prettiest but probably worth watching

    Sunday

NER at Orlando 330 pm NER should do OK on that turf

SKC at Dallas 7:30 pm Match of the week - the two best coaches not named Sigi or Bruce

LAG doing its usual "OK, lets start to take a game seriously now that we are in a few" thing.

NYCFC going with a 3-5-2 but has no defensive discipline. Columbus has all the possession.

US soccer twitter going gaga over Colorado playing Jermaine Jones as a #10. That's where he plays not matter what the coach says so might as well.

Highly recommend the RSL-VWFC game. Tons of action, very wide open despite no goals yet in the first 10 min.

Nice pick play by Seattle to get a header goal from a set piece. Dempsey acts as a flying wedge. League going to have to look at that stuff.

Robinson might not make it til June if Vancouver doesn't pick it up.

In some bizarro world, Aaron Maund is a serviceable defender. Took him long enough
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

I don't know what this all means for Vancouver... Something has to change over there.

Really looking like they messed up big time with their offseason moves. They couldn't score at all at the end of last year, so to fix this they signed an unknown from Japan and are trying to squeeze the last bit of football out of Blas Perez? They needed a finisher because all their wingers are extremely inconsistent (Manneh in particular seems to have hit a ceiling) and Rivero may as well be a ghost. Then they move Koffie, a real presence in midfield, and dump Beitashour, which is looking like a total head-scratcher.

Even so, he was traded for a second round pick.

My guess is that Carl Robinson will remain for the defensive side of the game, but they're going to hire an offensive specialist to try to fix the scoring aspect

So few people there but what a reward. Not just 3 points but Jermaine Jones first in his debut. Such a fun atmo.

Seattle just shelled the Union that first half but when the Union go down to 10 they took the foot off. Exciting for the home fans though.

That was a frustrating match for San Jose. It's little solace but for Wondo becoming 4th All-time goalscorer in the league. The fact he evened Adi in the golden boot race was fun watching head to head.

Yeah I have no hard feelings with him on this streak. We needed depth up front at the time and it was both he and Braun that went down a league. Difference being RSL had the patience to loan him out.

Well he was a rookie. He knew what he was getting into monetarily.

This is it. Giving up on the player by July and sending him home on loan. Justice is served every time RSL play in NE and short pants has to call the game.

About Rivero in Vancouver - maybe they need to spend a bit more then $800K to get a steady goal scoring DP. He did score 10 last season but then he had 5 in his first month (he was player of the month in March last year). He had 2 decent seasons in Uruguay and Chile. But, I'm not sure Rivero has the learning ability to figure out how to consistently put himself in a position to score.

Edwin Rivas. He got one goal last year for the Toonies and isn't with them this year.

Looking back, the only explanation I can see is loaning him for the international spot we had to give to Vancouver for Hassli. Or either one can count Soolsma's waiving as the spot but either way, that trade was a 2 for one int. spot.

Not that it's a good reason. Just looking for ANY reason.

I don't see that Vancouver loss away as poor as some of their previous efforts. I get that support has got to still be concerned but that game was no schellaking.

I don't think it's about money. They had the entire 2014 year to scout for a proper striker. I mean we scouted Laba and Urruti in under a year, two good cheap SA talents just fine under a poor FO.

Dallas game may be delayed due to thunderstorms coming in waves until 6 tomorrow morning.
