Looks like Harry Paton, another Canadian also joined.

Seams like Hearts think they can find some talent not making it through our academy systems quick enough

    Was Godinho released last year?
Also Harrison Patton moved from Fulham to Hearts with Godinho. Three Canadians.

    Another amazing goal.

Thy lost again, but whatever. As long as Edwards and Johnson are groomed enough for the first team next year I'm happy.

So they had a 15 year old and a 16 year old up front last night? Interesting.

How many goals is that for Hundal now? 3? 4?

3, although he did score what should've been his first on a phantom offside call.

Louisville by the way is 1st in the East in the USL, so no shame losing to them on the road.

Exciting times for us in terms of attacking prospects... Edwards looks ready to step up to MLS next year, probably more ready than Babouli was this year to be honest. Johnson and Hundal are both performing well as teenagers, and Hamilton is on the cusp of earning some occasional playing time in MLS.

What I'll say is the team seems to be lacking a playmaker, no TFC II player currently has more than 1 assist, Edwards, Johnson and Hundal all have none. USL does appear to be far more strict in terms of awarding assists than MLS, so that does factor in, but it looks like we're largely getting by on individual skill for goal scoring. The defense is pretty weak as well, no real stand out prospects back there I don't think. Overall though, looks like a lot of progress is being made already.

Ayo Akinola, IIRC, is touted as one of the best strikers in NA for his age ... who reps the US right now

Hopefully the team peer pressures him to switch to CMNT.

Heading up to the Ontario Soccer Centre for tonight's game vs. Charleston. It will be an interesting one, assuming Q is already on a plane to Vanocuver to at least back up Alex. With it being a 7:30 start hoping it was have a least cooled down a bit.

Just goes to show a few good players do not make a team.

Anyone who thought TFC2 was a serious team is kidding themselves!! This is a extra large, king size subs bench for the first team and nothing else

Dude... what? The team is full of 16-20 year olds, and sometimes they play like it. Or would you rather they sign a bunch of 30 year old journeymen that will compete for a USL championship and never sniff the first team?

    Just saying!! Ok

They was selling season tickets in a manner that ment come see the USL team compete, but really they should just say come see the first teams future players as they grow.

It's good they play 16-20 but it's not a Toronto/GTA 2nd team, and should not be taken seriously other than to watch the future stars.

What would be nice here is a second team, USL, one what is set up to win, an option if u like when TFC are playing a longs way away.

So enjoy it for what it is, and don't be critical on the kids when they lose as all the best TFC2 guys are filling in for injured first team guys.

TFC (and other MLS teams)'s approach to the USL reserve team is not illogical but I'm not sure being sparring partners for better organized USL teams is a good way to achieve the high level play needed for player development.

I'm fine with that and I think a lot of people have come to that realization. They still attend games though. It's a fun day out with lots of kids, former players and current TFC players milling around.

TFC II beat Bethlehem Steel 3-2 tonight. Uccello scored off a quick counter following a giveaway about 90 seconds into the game, Jobe scored on a through ball from Hundal and a misplay from the keeper, and Fraser scored on a nice shot off a rebound from an Uccello free kick into the wall. Also, former TFC player Ryan Richter is the Steel captain and he scored on a well-placed free kick a few yards outside the box. Who knew Richter could hit a dead ball.

Terry Dunfield definitely did not. He said right before the kick that the last kick he had seen Richter take ended up in the parking lot. And then he scored with a very nicely placed kick. Was great!

TFC II on the road vs. Harrisburg right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjBL0AuoAIk

Another goal for Edwards. Skylar Thomas made a nice read and intercepted a pass down the middle, moved forward with the ball and played in Edwards down the left and he finished pretty comfortably.
