    Worrisome.
Nathan Ingham was the goalie at the time of the fourth goal in the FC Montreal game.

TFC II beats Orlando City B 2-1 for their final home game of the season. Hundal and John with the goals. Quillan did well in net.

Ayo Akinola is increasingly looking like our best attacking prospect. The U.S. U-17 team just got done with a friendly tournament, and Akinola ended with 4 goals and 4 assists in 3 games. Clips below.

    7-1 win over Portugal:

Akinola won a penalty in the 8th minute
Assisted a goal in the 19th
    Scored in the 63rd

    5-1 over Turkey:

    Second assist in the 24th
    Assist in the 44th
    Scored in the 60th
    Scored in the 67th

    3-0 win over Brazil:

    Scored in the 43rd
    Assist in the 51st

Akinola turns 17 in January. He was called up to TFC II from the academy towards the end of the season and scored 2 goals in 10 games. As he is just with the academy, there is a risk that he leaves to sign his first professional deal elsewhere... hopefully we can sign him to a USL contract soon.

Shame he chose to play for the U.S. He's from Brampton.

I thought Hundal looked better on TFC II and is a year younger I think.

He's about half a year older. But Hundal was pretty good, another to keep tabs on.

One problem I can see with Akinola is that he's essentially a second forward because of his size. TFC 2 mainly played him as a striker in a front 3 so unless he becomes Defoe or even BWP good, he's got to develop something else in his game besides being a poacher.

Raheem Edwards, Mitch Taintor, Brian James, Anthony Osorio, Luca Uccello and Ricardo John have had their options picked up. Bubacarr Jobe signed a new USL deal.

Aidan Daniels, Malik Johnson, Liam Fraser and Shaan Hundal are all still under contract.

Martin Davis, Skylar Thomas, Wesley Charpie, Adam Bouchard and Sal Bernal are all gone. Ben Spencer is also out of contract, but they're trying to re-sign him.

Skylar Thomas and some of the others mentioned are simply free-agents. There is a very good chance some of them are re-signed. Skylar is a highly touted prospect after being picked early on in the MLS SuperDraft. I see them making a real effort to bring him back.

They're in the same situation as Ben Spencer, but Spencer was the only one mentioned to be in negotiations for a new contract. I don't think any of the others are returning.

Thomas has great aerial ability but he seemed to lack awareness and positioning. He's going to be 24 next year. He needs to move to the next level or look somewhere else.

I thought Wes Charpie was a solid RB, but I guess he wasnt. Looks like he's sign(ed)(ing) with St. Louis

So our 2015 draft looks like we got 1 decent player out of it in Bono and...maybe...something in Simonin and 3 prospects that didn't get to that next step.

    Did they not release Simonin?

I don't think Simonin had a decent run of games to prove himself. He looked fine every time he started for TFC. He just ran out of time.

Missed some decent players with our other 1st round picks (Parker, Sjoberg, Abdul-Salaam, Roldan). Pretty much nothing of value after the 16th pick that year though.

Truth is, the draft is getting weaker and weaker each year as homegrown signings are depleting it. It's pushing players up the board who is the past would have been lower picks.

from what i heard.its not that great of a draft this year,i doubt 2nd rounders will help the big squad maybe tfc2,bez did say he wants a few more vets on tfc 2 maybe usl and nasl type players to fill the roster.

The draft has been consistently getting worse in the sense that there's only 5 players who will actually play. Also there have been a few retirements from recent 1st round draft picks. Clear signs that young players need to come from within the system.
