Ok but you said Star players first. I believe that's the actual order of priorities in this.

And the pitch? Oh dear. I hope that isn't a reason for too many...

So tired of the Jozy conversation.
do think we need to get rid of Zavaleta, who I like but is expensive and on the bench. Could possibly trade for a bench quality striker which we clearly need rn. Kids looked good, Babouli more so than JHams, but definitely need some guidance/help

Always said he was good for what he was...serviceable backup. Even Jackson would be good right about now.

Yes, releasing Moore AND Herc never made sense from a playing perspective. Cap must be a big issue.

Does anyone else have the same feelings about the Oso experiment, seems to be a lost soul on the pitch these days.

TFC should announce that they have signed Tosaint Ricketts at some point. He's still here in Toronto with the team.

Yeah but have they got the roster up for the friendly next Tuesday? That would be poetic signing him to play Wed and then he goes to Austria the following day...

Width, Speed, Height and veteran depth not costing us a ton of cap space

Lot of CMNT supporters hate on Ricketts because his final 3rd play is inconsistent. Gets himself in good position but then scuffs the shot or cross ... Chad Barrett-esque would be good comparison. He's very versatile can play FB, Wide Midfield or up top. I think would be a good signing if they an get him on a reasonable contract.

He is essentially Jackson but more disciplined... if the contract puts him as a depth player it will be a good signing.

Basically less skilled Robbie Findley part II. This is a step backwards.

If you want a guy to dribble over the touch line consistently and scuff shots in front of net we have found our man.

Well Ricketts has been training with us for months now so unless they had an agreement upfront, they've had a lot of time to look at him and validate whether or not he will be a good fit/signing. We definitely need some speed so at least they are trying to address that.

My understanding is they plan to sign him or that process is underway. Because it's outside the window, they might have to wait until July. I believe they are looking to expedite the process via FIFA because Ricketts wasn't being paid in Turkey.

So they are wanting him to become a FA because he wasn't paid and then they could sign him?

That would nullify his existing contract as it was breached by his former team. That has worked before for other players.

Now is Ricketts worth getting excited over? I say no. He's probably better than nothing as he can run but he'd better come cheap. Like Endoh cheap. He's honestly not worth much more than that.

Hmmm Gilberto being bought out by Chicago. Likely heading home to Brazil.

I'd take him over Ricketts at the same price but his head might be too far gone.
