I just don't see Columbus strengthening an Eastern conference rival like that. Drogba is going to leave after this year and you're going to hand Montreal the best replacement for him they could get in MLS? Columbus would be hurting themselves.
I actually think Vancouver makes a lot of sense. Their strikers aren't great and their whole system relies on speedy wingers feeding a guy in the middle, similar to Columbus. It could work if they have the TAM to buy down Laba to free up a DP slot. They would have to give up something valuable though. I wonder if they'd be willing to part with Manneh considering his poor start to the season.
Vancouver makes a lot of sense. It's a team crying out for a real star or two.

If we do anything it would likely be very unspectacular... like a depth CB for a depth striker. Would still like to see Hamilton given a shot at some point instead of whatever Zavaleta would bring back in a striker.

SBI is confirming Kamara to Vancouver for Rivero and allocation money.
No brainer deal for Vancouver. Huge upgrade for a position where they desperately needed one. There must have been serious locker room problems with Columbus and Kamara for them to trade him this quick, even beyond his recent comments. Who knows, they could start clicking, but it definitely looks like they got worse today, so I'll take it.
If Rivero can't find his game with Columbus, he's probably done in MLS.

Not sure who is zooming who in this Columbus - Revs deal. Columbus has lots of Garber bux now to get someone in the summer window, if they can find the right guy. NER has a goal machine, if that machine can get wired into the other machines whose wiring may not be up to code.

Mattered a bit until Vancouver fell out of the Kamara race because we might have had to face that idiot this weekend.
We also play Columbus in 9 days. I have no idea how that is going to go now because CBus spend all their time trying to get in crosses and now have nobody to do that towards. They could become like NER and pass the ball all over the place in front of the box but it takes time to transition an offence.
I raised the rumour in the first place cause somebody always links us to any forward out there.
