yes i understand that ..but most mls clubs have 6 to 8 imports on the team some have 12,we now hv 4 and 2 of them are college kids.
He's lost his DM spot to Liam Fraser and that's worrisome. For the past 2 years, they were grooming him for that spot. It'll be interesting if he starts in a more attacking mid role but even then, Aiden Daniels and Luca Uccello have been solid over the past couple of games.

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

From the Larson interview with Bez today

“We need an attacking midfielder who’s going to chip in four or five goals and four or five assists — especially when your top two scorers aren’t scoring as prevalent as they were,” Bezbatchenko said.
Toronto’s GM added: “But it has to be the right fit. We’re not in a position where we think we need to upend any of our roster. We think our roster has matured.
So identified need but not going to send out somebody important to get that player.
That's a good interview. He's saying a lot of the right things. I'm gonna guess the AM comes in the offseason.
I'm just wondering who in MLS could fit that role without being a high cap hit or DP.
they aren't going into rebuilding mode until they are officially out of playoff race.
Ivanschitz was originally a left winger IIRC. didn't look comfortable playing AM in MLS from what I've seen. If Lodeiro does come in at CAM, Ivanschitz goes back to LW
There is no starting calibre CAM available for less than DP spot.

One of the underlying themes here is Toronto FC expected to get more from Osorio this season.
Flashes of brilliance like that first Defoe goal in Seattle have had many of us thinking Osorio could do the AM but its becoming obvious he's a shuttler/inverted midfielder. If he could learn to consistently take less touches, he could grow into an AM role but I suspect he's going to have to reinvent himself with more defensive bite.
i guess Bez reads this thread to see what he needs on this roster.

Little more details on Ricketts signing from Neil Davidson article. Sounds like TFC is really tight against the cap.

I've seen at least three different stories from people who talked to him in person, and the overwhelming opinion was that he was rude and arrogant. Maybe he needs to sit for a while and learn that he's not going to be gifted a career. Didn't he have five goals and eight assists that first full year (or something like that)? Maybe it was an outlier and he just doesn't have the vision to make the killer pass.
He's not rude or arrogant.
Although he'd hoped to have a better season, I sat down with him in February. Lovely conversation.

I still think (while less talented than Bradley) Laba - Osorio in the 4-5-1 was where he found the most comfort. They balanced each other out well. His lack of place is way less noticeable in the middle.
I am still somewhat confounded by what Bradley's role should be and how a MLS team gets the most out of him in a DP spot.
