This is so beautiful, our academy is finally paying dividends, i hope they invest more in teacher training, build more youth teams and expand our network further across the province.
True but down the stretch I would still prefer a veteran of some kind especially with Edwards getting limited first team minutes. Next year for sure though. Even get someone like a Bobby Convey when we picked him up, but with less of a dick attitude of course. This would be by trade rather than straight signing though. Maybe take a bigger contract on.
I watched the Hamilton goal from last night a few times and now I am sold that Chapman should unseat Osorio from his starting spot right away. I was leaning that way from when Chapman saw some action a few weeks back but now I am sold. That's an instant upgrade right there.

One half of a game against a team with no real DM for much of that second half.
Reminder - Chapman vs Seattle was pathetic. Body of work indicates Osorio > Chapman. Long term, Chapman is slowly working himself there. But Osorio now is better...and Endoh is seen as the better AM then either of those 2.
That we are discussing the qualities of youth is heartening.
I haven't seen anything from Osorio to see that he deserves to start. People will point to the Orlando match and Montreal but other than those two matches, he's been fairly pathetic as well. Plus he is trending down hard and has been for a few years. He looked good when we were shit but since our quality and overall play improved, he has been left behind.
Our best midfield now would be Endoh, Chapman, Cheyrou, and then Osorio/Delgado if we're using 4 mids. Once we get Bradley & Johnson back there will be a squeeze and I wouldn't take Osorio starting over anyone other than Lovitz and even looks like he's improved and Delgado who is also trending downward.

I never understood why we never play bradley, johnson and cheyrou together. Cheyrou's such a boss.

Apparently he was at the game last night seated with Crew FO folk.

Thank god we're not after Haber. Makes no sense with the way Hamilton is playing.
Looking at our situation right now we could probably get an average MLS winger and an average MLS AM and idk about u guys but I'd much rather have one of those be great (TAM level) than have two and have them be average.
This team has depth, we don't need anymore of it.

Lloyd Sam is on $230,000, i'd take him on 75% of that if the Red Bulls really wanted him gone ($172.5k)
Watch Alberto Quintero this weekend - average MLS winger = $190K guaranteed I don't think they'd part with him but as they that's the sort of guy you look for. Speed to burn.
I'd be looking at teams with defensive issues - Portland, NYCFC, RSL, Orlando, Columbus, NER - then I'd be looking at who is a winger there.
BTW, Llyod Sam was traded to DCU already.
