In the game thread this was discussed. Molinaro says he is "beat up". FWIW

Do not underestimate the hard man aspect of Perquis. When he, Cheyrou and Johnson are on the field, people don't kick Seba. A few have tried this season and its amazing how about 5 minutes later somebody is getting a thumping tackle.

I think this is Johnson's department more so that anyone else's. He seems to love that stuff.

Its always good to have a defender who can do that.

The smiling assassin Drew Moor does it too, just not as menacing.

    I still love this image

That's the thing. Modern MLS game, well, if you want to be one of the better teams need a DM and preferably a CB who can make a decent pass. This is why I'm hoping Simonin works out. And Cheyrou has enough life in his legs to last the season

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

I wish Bez was more proactive. Caps see Rivero isn't the answer to their DP question so he's gone. Altidore is a scrub and can't stay healthy I'm sorry Bez but your team is not good enough to be supported by only Giovinco. Altidore's contract was ridiculous to begin with.

we better be bringing in guys in the transfer window from central america or elsewhere on trial or loan for a look or he should be canned

    Update on Perquis:

John Molinaro ‏@JohnMolinaro 19h19 hours ago I'm told Perquis and Beitashour are banged up, thus they were given maintenance days.

Well Beitashour clearly got injured in the previous game, I was not surprised to see him out.

    Perquis, who knows.

Jackson, Hoilett, and Edgar all out of contract.

Edgar confirmed to be in Van training, and Hoilett doubtful TFC has the room to make him an enticing offer. What if Perquis was moved and TFC retun hope from Van with Edgar in tow :O?

Edgar could be interesting because he can play CB, RB and DM but depends on the $$$. If the plan is for Cheyrou and Bloom to be let go after the season he can provide cover in both spots for Beit and Bradley while playing CB.

Always interested in Hoilett but no idea where the $$$ would come from

Perquis's situation is highly suspicious. Note the transfer window doesn't open until July 1st for at least some of the league's in Europe (although England and France have already opened).

Spain is July 1st if he's doing the round trip.

I expect France to win but they haven't been the most convincing team

Would love to see Iceland do it - but the game is at the Stade du France...Host nation... there is no logic in the world that says they can win.

This isn't England we are talking about their record in Euro's is abysmal - the most over-rated team in FIFA, France are a pretty decent team.

This run without Irwin will be a test of managements judgement. By all means Knopka was a serviceable and affordable second option.

If Q or Bono are ready, great. Otherwise we've really shot ourselves in the foot here, big time.

Would it matter if it's Konopka or Q/Bono flapping and missing a cross? Konopka was part of the reason why our defensive record was so poor.
