It's nothing too crazy but for people who are going for the first time, try to stick to bigger groups of TFC fans as you enter and leave the stadium

Especially after the shit that went down last October. I really hope security is a lot tighter for this one.

To be honest, was the reason why I chose to sit behind the TFC bench this time , a great view supporting the Reds !!

What does where you sit have to do with getting jumped outside the stadium? If anything just being you and one or two more is a much easier target for impact fans that want to start shit than being with the general mass of TFC supporters.

We managed to avoid the violence by walking to Rue Sherbourne and to PieX station instead of Viau. Not wearing colours helps too.

If you want to set up away supporter tickets then you will need to contact RB front office as i don't believe anyone has done that yet.

That is why I tend to not wear TFC colors once leaving the stadium, throw a winderbreaker on and stroll out, avoiding all the BS that may come. I find if you wear something non-TFC gear you are left alone, not much is yelled at you.

We are planning to go en-masse with the group from McLeans pub before the game. I'll have a sweater to cover up my TFC t-shirt after the game as I wasn't sure about wearing colours leaving the stadium afterwards.

Growing up in Scotland and going to games in the 80's & 90's I've had plenty practice trying to avoid trouble at away games

So don't sit in the supporter section, don't wear TFC colors, and take the long way in and out of the stadium. Got it.

this thread is the ultimate face palm.

Me gets the feeling punishment is dependent upon whether the home team is upset and whether Garber/MLS are embarrassed.

Didn't they get punished. They were protesting sanctions last year.

I believe they did get sanctioned for the flares.

The other stuff has never been dealt with.

I know it's been mentioned earlier in the thread, but are people hearing back from Impact about tickets? I emailed them over a month ago, and again over the weekend, and still heard nothing. I don't care if they aren't releasing them until 24hrs before, it would just be nice to know. Slightly annoying being ignored from a professional sports teams FO.

I've talked to Jeremie. He's taken my order and I'm picking them up. It took him forever so if you haven't heard by now, I dunno what to tell you.
I started the process over a month ago and I finally paid like Thursday lol wtf.

Jeremie told me the away-supporters section is all sold out, although I did email him a few days ago. You should maybe try giving him a call, just call the Impact FO and ask to connect you to Jeremie.

Quoted for posterity. I don't believe Jeremie. I hope I'm wrong and that many Reds are there to see the match but they did their best to make purchasing as awkward as possible. Weak.
