In Kurts article this statement upsets me "Say goodbye to TFC's tired Onyx kit and hello to a nod to Toronto's soccer past."
TIRED? We only had ONYX for 1 kit (2 seasons), the previous years were Light Grey or White. Many supporters were begging for a Dark Kit from year 1 (Black or Onyx). Last seasons Onyx made many happy and not only is it a great jersey, its so light and breathable o-making it a f-ing awesome jersey to play in. Tired? I was not. I was looking forward to a new design onyx jersey.

Geez, some of you guys are whiny and traditional as f***. I understand having a little cynicism, but sheesh.
The blue would look fantastic on our kit. After i got last years onyx kit i didnt think they could get any better but a bit of blue would look fantastic with our existing colour scheme and will probably be purchasing some more merchandise depending on the design. MLSE is all about branding, and this is a pleasant evolution of our brand. Grey looks gross and frankly while i liked onyx, black would look even better. And Montreal?? We could have a puke covered version of the Columbus jersey and we'd still shit all over Montreal. We run this country and theyre our bitches on and off the pitch, point finale! Please save your cynicism for the old ownership of MLSE, these new guys have been good to all their franchises the last couple years. The shitty TFC oriented schedule they received should also tell you where the Argonothings exist in the pecking order.

What are you saying, man??
Montreal is blue.
The Argos are blue.
Rumours are flowing around that parts of the stadium will be blue.
TFC is RED. This "add some blue because of our heritage" is the most blatant LIE that's being forced onto an already sensitive fan base.
Im shocked if this is true, and only tells me that TFC is trying to go the leafs route and be a stadium full of suits, without any true supporters.
Ill reiterate what Busa said... Wtf do the Blizzard have to do with TFC?
the Raps wore green on St. Patrick's day.
The Celts are one of their biggest rivals.
The Blue Jays wear Red once or twice per year.
it is blue trim/Accent on likely a historical throwback jersey. not a blue kit.
with that said, we haven't actually seen anything official.
we're speculating based on a rumour.
What did the Millionaires have to do with the Canucks?
they wore their jersey for the heritage classic.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vancouver_Millionaires
the Tigers wore Detroit Stars gear lately.
a shout out to those that came before them in the same city.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_Stars
The Blizzard were big for a lot of people.
got some people hooked on the game.
part of toronto's history.
I always saw TFC as being the 'Reds' as in the sense that Liverpool are the Reds. Man United, the red devils, has done the blue kit thing before. Not sure how I feel about TFC using blue. Doesn't seem right.
Rooney's plugs look just as good...
it isn't that big of a deal.
Exactly lol. Why do people believe throwbacks/homages need to be limited to teams previously affiliated with the current franchise? The Raptors (another MLSE team obviously) have worn, and will again be wearing blue Toronto Huskies jerseys (17/18) but you don't see their fans up in arms about how they're trying to force Leafs colours into the Raptors. They've kept the red scheme even with a perfect opportunity to switch with the brand redesign they did last year. I'll reserve judgment on the shirt until we see it but this outrage and conspiracy theories seem kind of overboard.
Didn't alot of NBA teams go with a green for St Patrick's Day as it was mandated by the leuage?
Blue Jays self explanatory being the only Canadian team. So wearing red on the Canada Day weekend isn't an issue.
And for someone who hasn't seen it and is just speculating on a rumor your sure trying hard to push your opinion is the right opinion.
I could careless why other teams do it. I care about why my team does it.
Again there team wore a blue and it has historical value to why they continue to use a blue.
Why does TFC want to use blue again? Didn't know the Blizzards had anything to do with TFC.
Fuck why dont we just fly the fleur de lis at games then? Sure there's some french conection to the city and the club. The reach is just as realistic as TFC and Blizzards.

Retiring the onyx already wtf. .the onyx was sick, we haven't even had it for that long. Ugh...Tannenbaum
My opinion is that it isn't that big of a deal.
I'm anti-argo.
I don't see the big deal if it is a Blizzard throwback.
again.
MLB teams wear Negro League jerseys...paying homage to professionals that played in the city before them.
blazing the trail.
planting the seeds of that sport in that city.
i'd be really against them wearing Argo gear.
Like when the Marlies/Bulldogs wore Argo/TiCat jerseys.
Man - the actual playing season can't come soon enough
i don't think it is a conspiracy as much as an unfortunate coincidence.
maybe i'm wrong.
there will be some people in the city, probably 40+, that will be super amped up to see the Blizzard colours out there one more time.
and will gobble up the merch.
maybe we're wrong...and it isn't the blizzard.
maybe it's Zubaz pattern.

FORMER FULL TIME KOOL-AID DRINKER
Anyways ............. I've seen the new away jersey - here's a picture I took of it
Needs more blue
Laugh it up guys when they pull the bait and switch and start putting double blue in BMO ill be laughing. Can't believe you guys can't see the process going on.
If blue was a colour that TFC had always used as part of its visual identity, we'd have no problem. But it never was. Heck, a person might be able to scrounge up some of the original alternate crests that had colours such as green and yellow, but even then I don't believe I ever saw blue featured on them either.
I don't get it either. I wasn't able to get an Onyx shirt when they first came out because the club store sold out of them. To this day, it's the absolute "must have" TFC shirt that I'm still needing to buy when I get the chance, and I doubt I'm alone here.
The shirt everyone has been clamouring for years is being retired and a new one with a colour not associated with TFC is replacing it. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
The problem is that this is how things snowball into much larger issues. It's a small thing here or there and people don't want to make waves because they think they'll be called paranoid or that they are blowing things out of proportion. But then they build on it, saying "well you didn't have a problem with the first time we made the change". Give it a few years and BMO Field is almost equal parts red and blue but nobody really notices it because the change happens slowly and with a convenient explanation.
Let's not forget that there was once a time when BMO Field was a soccer specific (and arguably soccer-exclusive) stadium; and how over the course of a decade it slowly, little by little, became the multi-sport facility of today which is also the Argonaut's new home.

Did the USA , of all countries, just fix soccer? - C. Ronaldo, May 27th commenting on the FBI-led investigations into fraud and corruption throughout FIFA.
We should have a supporters walk-out if the jersey has any blue.
