I like it too. I wonder if this new colour scheme is the new defacto cool one. Kinda like red, onyx was at the time of TFC inception.

It looks like a 1920's art-deco design. It doesn't really do anything for me, but it's not bad.

The guy who designed it did a blurb on his site about the process. Worth a quick read. http://www.matthewwolffdesign.com/portfolio/lafc/

That's exactly the look they wanted to achieve and I think the graphic designers did a pretty good job on it. It's certainly not a style I would have guess in a thousand years, but it's original and rather classy in my mind.

While I don't normally like the use of only two colours, it's pretty effective with this crest. Also, I think it would look equally well with the colours reversed, so there's bonus points for added utility there. I like it. I think I'd like it a bit more with another design element or maybe even a colour, but it's tough to say. It's pretty powerful just the way it is now. It's good. A solid 4/5. Much better than some other modern MLS badges in the very least.

In design circles the colour scheme of TFC was what was the most popular from everything from bottles to gold clubs.

The crest is pretty cool - simplistic. Some of the Merch, however, is just over the top '80s. Like the black and gold jacket that looks like the sleeves were painted with spray paint. But then again, I am not buying the merch so what do I care? Wonder what the jerseys are going to look like.

^ I dig the retro-look for the shirts and jackets. They don't look anything like traditional footy merch, but again, I assume that's all completely intentional. I have to admit, the more I look at the LAFC crest, secondary logos, scripts, and merch designs, the more it grows on me.

I like the logo a lot. I'm not sure the colours for it are right though.

Awesome logo, old hollywood, art deco inspired, simple classic, gold and black very Chic. Wonderful font again specific to the art deco look as are the wings of the A, the crest brings it home. Good start.
The logo is easily better than these logos, Red Bulls, The Revs, DC rebrand, Colorado, RSL, Quakes Dallas and LA Galaxy.
