What the hell is with all the Saturday night games?
Guess they really don't want kids there.
I can't reasonably be expected to bring my 2 yr old to these games (he's been attending since he was 3 weeks old), which means that either my wife or I can't attend as one of us will have to stay home.
Typical MLSE bullshit.
Another summer of hope!
Hmm, I love summer evening games, sorry they don't work for you.
However it looks in this announcement, there's only one summer evening game. May & Oct. evening games can be cooolllldd by the lake.
I don't mean to sound like a dick, but majority of all Toronto sports teams play more night games then they do day time. I prefer night games. Sorry it doesn't work out for you and your 2 year old son, but don't act like MLSE are being dicks for scheduling night games. Its kind of like me saying MLSE are dicks for scheduling so many weekend games ( due to my job, I work many weekends and I can not book all TFC Saturday games off due to this), its just the way the sport schedules often work. Weekday night games actually work best for me and my schedule, but then a lot of people can't make weekday games. It is what it is.
Would be nice if there were more consistent. Though evening games work better in the middle of summer - it's the spring and fall games that should be in the sunshine.
I've got a similar issue with my almost 4-year old. But I don't think it would have been as much of an issue when he was 2 - I had him in a carrier until he was well over 3 (the very last time being 2015 season closer) - and he was still falling asleep for many of the late afternoon games. Perhaps if you put him in a carrier, he can just go to sleep, and you can toss him into bed when you get home.
On the bright side - given that you need a ticket for a 2-year old, you can save some $.
All the more reason to have a heater - I mean the baby - strapped to you under your fleece!
What worked for me last year was getting tickets to TFC II games that I took my daughter to (2.5 years old at the time). She was able to watch some games with me, and then my wife and I were free to go to TFC games on our own. I sold a few TFC games to pay for the TFC II tickets and ended up watching more than usual.
I think this year they are committing to almost all weekend games (2-3 weekday) and those will start at 5/5:30 if i remember correctly what my rep told me.
Full schedule out
EVERY Home game is evening until Fall.
We are officially now an evening time entertainment proposition.

Wow, that's a big change in game times. I figured there would be at least a few afternoon games.
I love night games!!! Bring on the beer
I don't like the May evening games.
But I love the summer evening games, and I love the consistency. Maybe they're hoping that will help with viewership as well? (Although the away games are all over the map.) I have no idea what they're competing against in terms of viewership, for the Sat. evening home games.
I feel like the evening games during the summer allows for fans to go to afternoon Jays games as well as TFC (I remember in those survey's for TFC Council it would ask you if you have Season Seats to other teams in the city, and if there are people who have Jays seasons tickets they have to choose between one or the other, and in order to avoid that, they figure evening games would be better than an afternoon game.
Soccer Night in Canada anyone?
I remember while at the LA game at the RC looking up and actually commenting to my friends that there were sound baffles hanging. I thought that was because it must get crazy loud at Jays games ( I hadn't seen one yet). Then I finally made it to a Jays game last year during the madness. First thing I noticed was there were no Sound Baffles. The crowd was great for the CCL game. Shame the baffles killed so much of the atmosphere.
Due to work I can only make night games. It meant I missed the majority of last season.
While I was ecstatic when I saw the opener was at night, it was a bit of a letdown to see every game as a night game. I'd have prefered a more mixed schedule.
That said, I have found the atmosphere to be better at the night games.
No early afternoon games works out great for me and my schedule. I am very happy with that.
Personally for me I love the schedule. The atmosphere always seems a little more amped up at night games. The Aug 28th vs Montreal under the lights is going to be insane. I can't wait for May 7th.
TFC II has two Wednesday morning 11:30 a.m. games in Vaughan, and one on a Wednesday at 5 p.m.
