    Default Season Tickets Mailed?

Checked my Purolator tracking # from last season. Is was right around this time that they mailed out tickets,
I'm guessing with final payments due today, we will start to see tickets being mailed out early next week, which will undoubtedly lead
to many of us looking like Jimmy Fallon when the Purolator truck arrives!

They would not have been mailed yet. The final payment for those who used the payment plan was yesterday. They would not have sent packages out to those with partially paid accounts, and wouldn't send them out in different batches.

Last year, I put all the "tickets" on my phone, and used electronic entry. That, with a presto card in my pocket, can't say enough how convenient that is. I noticed that in the SSH account manager, there is an "Mobile Entry" icon.

CFL season tickets are going digital and if you want to pay 25$ for collector’s edition paper tickets

I could see MLS doing this

They sent them out in the past without having everyone paid up. They just didn't give us access to the unpaid tickets in Account Manager until all the payments were in.

    Ahhh that explains it then.
The Ottawa Fury of the NASL (owned by Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group ... that's OSEG ... think ML$E light ... they own the CFL REDBLACKS) gave us digital tickets this season on a swipe card.
They will probably be able to use it to track purchases at the OSEG store as well as how many of us use it as a free bus ride to and from the stadium on game days.

Whitecaps seasons are like that. swipe card that gets you in and is your discount card for buying merch at the stadium. Also a lot of restaurants give discounts if you present that card (I think), I know the southsider card gets you discount at doolins

MLSE is too profit oriented to do a swipe card type system. That form of system makes it nearly impossible to scalp or give away tickets, meaning less butts in seats, meaning less beers and hotdogs sold.

How so? The tickets can still be printed or forwarded through the account manager.

I was thinking the same thing. I sell off about a third of my seasons every year. People like to have actual tickets in their hands.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are going digital tickets this coming season but they aren't even issuing a collector entry card. You can either print your tickets via the Account Manger or use the mobile phone option. They are offering "Collectors Tickets" for $25 per season ticket set.

well you do both, you provide season seat holders with cards. and they still use the ticket manager to sell/print tickets. And then you have all none season seat holder tickets as normal.

It would be a lot cheaper to send out cards than it would be to print/mail tickets. Oh, we made the playoffs, cool. That game is now loaded on your card.

I don't know how much MLSE makes off of the concessions either. I made the same argument at work and was shut down pretty quick.

I was thinking you guys are refering to the ManU type card. There is no option to print or receive a physical ticket. If I wanted to give my ticket to a game to a friend of mine, I have to give them my physical card to use, and they would return it to me after.

Certain places don't allow you to buy tickets without having an account associated with it (particular the FA), so if you buy four tickets for your buddies you have to assign the tickets to them before you can complete the purchase.

I don't think that has anything to do with the card itself.

Each team can set up their system differently. I'm a Jays season ticket holder and they gave us a physical entry card but you can still print and forward tickets through the account manager as well as use your phone for digital ticket entry.

Have people used the phone entry at bmo? Does it work well? I generally print off my tickets but would rather not have to if possible

A million times. A small issue is sometimes their readers take some time to read the bar code. I usually just enlarge it and its good to go. They're also use to it so no worries there.

They do it at Barca, I had a season ticket card thingy for the Champions league semi finals in 2012 against Chelsea, just gave it back after the game
