I worry about that TFC crest on the stadium - that rogue Argo fans, heck maybe even Ti-Cats fans will try to vandalise it in some way i.e. with paint. We TiCat fans for years have gone to Argo games in the Skydome, to the point of being more numerous then Argo fans and havn't done anything to Jays stuff.
This may come as a shock but the idiots on twitter about all this are just that....idiots on twitter. CFL fans tend to be older and thus unlikely to do malicious stuff.
I suspect this will be inevitable. And, I will say to those who do that sort of stuff the same as I said about those two idiots at the Houston game last year - get the fuck outta my stadium ya loser. We are better then this.
Complain about the field and lines if it occurs. But vandalizing signage? Might as well go out there and rearrange the FOOD sign on top of our post game bathroom option to say DOOF - that sign has more relevance on our game day then any Argo signage will.
that FOOD sign makes me hungry all damn game. Thats why they removed the north side, to increase concession sales

They are redesigning it. The thinking is it will go back up on DeRo day with an addition. We shall see. First there's Brennan day.

Believe there was a TFC email for the home opener that said it would be updated and unveiled in June sometime. I might be wrong..it's been that kind of week so far.
Did someone tag the old wall of honor? It looked like some barely scrubbed out graffiti by the Kia logo.
Stadium looked disgusting at the north End for yesterday's international game. I think 28,000 people deserved the same look as the MLS games. People were standing on far north end anyway.
Probably it was due to Argos game coming up. ewww i dont even like typing that name.

there was a huge gap behind the net covered by fake grass. Basically where there is bar and two stands during tfc game, all gone.
There was an artificial strip on the South end behind the net as well. The majority of the crowd would not have noticed. Most of the crowd had never been in the new BMO.

Soccer Lines came off right after the game yesterday. We'll get a look at how well that goes during the Argo preseason game next Saturday.
Then its a week to see how the first changeover back works.
Then rugby on the 26th.

The "This is Argos Football" signs under the press box and on the railings look very removable.
I can live with the Argo sign outside their dressing room because I'm pretty darn sure TFC plunks a big assed "BUY TFC GEAR HERE" booth right in front of it for every game.
Regardless, until June 18th, we really don't know.
We walk in, we see a lot of blue, we got issues.
We see lines on the field, we got issues.
We see the turf chewed up...we got MAJOR issues.
Until then, we just don't know.

That pic of the pointy-ball goal posts on the pitch is making my stomach turn.
i think larsun said a giant Argos logo is going on the southeast end ... but not this season. A temporary goes up on one of the corner posts sometime this season.
An argos logo on red cladding? Wouldnt they want it on a blue background? Seems sorta odd imo.
That was speculation, occurred in here, and shown to be false.
The temp signage does enough of the job.
As for the football posts, we have had rugby posts before and will do so again.
Its ALL about the grass.
