In comparison to cities like Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg...it dwarfs them in population as cities like Calgary and Edmonton have under 1 million people in the city population and almost a non exsisting surrounding suburb population. Even compared to many cities in America, Montreal has a bigger and more densely built city base then many other cities in America that have a small city with medium to low density population but rather with a very big spread out suburban surrounding population. The city of Montreal is bigger then most in USA and Canada.

Or was I missing something and this was just meant to be a jab at Montreal?
yah thats an odd comment to make to call it small town.

A weekend or night out in Montreal is still considered one of the best in North America. Fantastic restaurants for good prices, walk able city with diversity, strip clubs, spas, shopping, art, etc.. I find it easier to have a good time in Montreal than in Toronto and for less $

I hate the impact but I will take a weekend in Montreal anyday and gimme my expos back

a good test is to ride your bike through a city, Montreals density seems to go forever, it doesnt have as many high rise but its multi use and multifloored buildings seem to go forever.

It's true no matter what DeRo will always be my favourite TFC player aside from Giovinco.

Generally, putting up a jersey should be meant for winners, not fan favourites. We'll get there soon enough.

He's won the Canadian Championship that's gotta be atleast something plus he's from Toronto and was captain for a brief amount of time.

He won the 2011 league MVP and golden boot. He played for us that year.

It may be time to look at who we had as DP then.

This would make complete sense if Dichio and Brennan weren't on the wall of honour... But since they are... IMO he deserves to be there without a doubt.

I don't agree at all. The hill/mountain might be making you think different.

The myth that won't die. Incredible nightlight in MTL no matter what the circumstances are.

It is what yo make it. Can do the same in any place.

Are there any plans for parking structures? Or is there enough for a full event?

That would take away space for the CNE.

That area is rammed on gameday. It's an awkward shape. I hope the structure relieves it...somehow.

That's an odd sport for it during the CNE. You'd have to drive through the Ex to get to it, with Dufferin closed. Why not stick it on an Ontario Place parking lot ... though why most people wouldn't simply park at a GO lot for free I don't know ...

All we need is proper transit network. Go trains are way too packed and cost a lot, streetcars will not be available for the 2016 season, and there are barely any exits if you want to park at the exhibition grounds next to the stadium.

If only I could take a Go Train. I live in Newmarket. There are no trains on the weekend and during the week trains only travel southbound early in the morning and northbound in the evening.

The Barrie line runs during the weekend in the summer. Just take that to union and transfer to the lakeshore line and it will bring you to exhibition station.

This is from Wednesday, finally home and can do some processing that isn't on my phone. Was in the city for a few days helping a friend, took the opportunity to head down BMO. Some event that attracted men that wear cowboy hats as an every day fashion accessory was going on so getting to the other side wasn't easy.

There is one on the North West corner too. Its almost like they havn't built them out on the other two corners.

Not for lights Kaz - would be from both sides.

Last game I drive to, it was $30 for parking, which is ridiculous.

It will be extended on the other side too. You can see the bracing for it. They seem to be focusing work on the west side for now, and will do the east side. You can actually see the mounts for the lights on the extended scaffold.

5 trains each way. Take the 4pm train to the game and 11:30 pm back. It takes about 1 hour to get downtown from maple Go Station using train.
