Just passed by it on go train on the way to work. The west side roof looks exactly like the east side one. My guess is that they will put up the south end roof in place very shortly.

I wonder if they need to put the top support arches in first, to solidify the East/West structures?

I'd really like to know when that will be, because I'd love to go and watch it happen.

There are no timelines; they work as they please. Unions, man.

Don't knock the unions. Most do good work, its just a couple of shirkers in some cases make it hard on the rest of us.

Man the world would be a better place without Unions, it this day and age sink or swim on your own. There is a huge sense of entitlement with them. I would be pissed if BMO was delayed because of union BS.

Yea it was much better without unions. No breaks, fired if you get sick, no workplace safety, no vacation pay, no sick pay and when you get old your fired. Simple.

Labor unions would have us believe that they transfer income from rich capitalists to poor workers. In fact, they mostly transfer income from the large number of non-union workers to a small number of relatively well-off union workers.

I run my own business. I'm an entrepreneur who flies solo and looks out for himself first and foremost. No one else gets a say in how my show goes or looks out for me and no one needs to. Me and unions aren't always happy to deal with one another.

But let me say this about unions. When it comes to certain situations where health and safety are paramount, they're essential. They're often the sole reason why we don't hear about more job site fatalities. I used to build commercial aircraft and large recreational boats in another chapter in life. Dirty, dangerous work. Without unions, they would have been lethal work environments.

When it comes to jobs like the high-risk steelwork going on at height over BMO Field, I staunchly support a unionized environment. This is the sort of job where you simply want it done once and done right.

Unions had a purpose. At a time when what you state was reality, they were needed. Now many of them protect people who do a horrible job, while mandating that people outside the union not be allowed to work more than X number of hours or more than X number of consecutive months. Breaks, sick leave, workplace safety, etc are law now, so you can't say that unions are still protecting that. Some do help enforce it since the MoL can't be everywhere at once, but a lot of unions are more interested in making more money for the guys already in regardless of how poor of a job they do, and keeping fresh blood out.

Based on the renders there is no rear support for one side of the end panels. So the top support bar needs to be in place and the panels need to be connected before they go in. Likely they will go in as the cross beams start being put in place.

Unions are one of the issues that will likely keep high schools from using the newly renovated BMO Field, this needs to get sorted out as this is quite an extensive renovation.

Old Trafford was re-branded from Nike to Adidas in the space of 24hrs.

Given BMO still retain naming rights of the stadium for another year I'm sure whatever has to be done to appease the new sponsor will be a quick job.
