Totally agree with below although why not just make it permanent.. 2 events this year alone will need the Temporary South stands..
Between the open north end, space (and I assume structural foundation) for a second south end stand and space for a rebuild of the top of the west stand, those are a lot of options available to expand BMOF.
Nah, they added that many because
a) there is pent up demand rising that will float this team towards regularly gettting 28K +
b) the various other events can fill those seats
c) its easier to build too big and put a roof on then too small and have to work around a canopy
I'm very curious to see what kind of ratings the team will get during their home games this year. Considering the majority are at 7 or 730pm time slot. Hoping they draw more.
Was just reading about Minnesota United's new stadium plans and noticed they are wrapping the openings between the stands/roof with "Translucent PTFE building skin to protect fans from the elements".

Wondering if something like this can be feasibly used for BMO as well.
Wow that rendering of the new Minnesota stadium looks great nice and enclosed, however , let's see if that's what the stadium will actually look like once it's built, however , if it is then will be up there with one of the nicer ones in MLS, maybe one day TFC will get a proper stadium that looks like that, one can only dream.
lol? The players DO, themselves, live in Toronto… so, it does show a bit of how diverse the city is, if maybe a small sample-size.
Nevertheless, I think it were just a poor choice of words; the lad's probably just meant that it were symbolic of the city's diversity—don't see a need to bust his chops.
Thought the same, myself, and it'd be nice to see them return. Fairly sure I've seen such flags elsewhere, around the league (at least).
Ok back to construction... Any updated Pics or status of whats going on now that the South roof is up??
