I wonder if the canopy will actually be a solid colour like the red in that rendering or if they will add clear pieces like some stadiums have to allow light through. Anybody heard anything about that? I have not.

I am in the accessible row 21 in 114 and my wife can't come to rainy games due to her illness so I really really hope they took into account the accessible row and are extending the canopy right to the back of the concourse. It would make sense for protecting those walking on the concourse as well. I know for some games the rain comes at us sideways so on those blistery days we may be out of luck with a high roof but most of the rainy days it comes down fairly straight from what I recall so if they extend it to the back of the concourse it will be decent cover even with a high roof. Hard to see where the canopy sits exactly on those renderings.
Does anyone have a picture like Gabriel just posted but with the north end gone? I believe there was one around but I can't find it
Not from that angle
Looking at the picture of the assembled south canopy in recently posted images, it does not appear wide enough to cover both the south stands and the elevated concourse. Hard to tell for sure though. Will have to wait and see.

Where do all the blue "touches" go? What gets painted Blue?
Is the West Side made blue with a big Argos logo like TFC has on the East stands? That would make sense.
My guess is there will be a lot of Giant "blue" posters and advertisements at BMO field (including covering the big TFC Crest on the East Stand that was installed this year) however they will be removed for TFC games. I find it doubtful they would leave the giant TFC Crest on game day for the Argos being visible.
I think this crest would be covered by posters
Probably Argos advertising more like these:

Wembley was built as a multi use stadium. Bad example.
There's no need for the Argos new ownership to be that provocative. I also recall somebody stating specifically they wouldn't do that.
By all accounts Argo and TFC staff up at Downsview get along. We'll see. There are a few asshats among Argo fans but the majority are just looking for a new experience.
TL: You will never know the argos play at the stadium on TFC game days.
That suggest to me that no permanent argos anything will be in stadium or around the stadium when we are their.
That is the standard I will hold them to
I expect 0 permanent argos logos. If i have been lied to by the former CEO of the organization the current president of TFC will have to answer for that and i will have to make a decision if the organization still deserves my time, effort and money. The time and effort I put in is likely much more valuable to the organization than the money i put in.
I think if not this year then eventually you will see a large permanent logo at BMO Field
If MLSE mess things up this year with this Argo BS, then I am going to stop supporting them and wait for new Canadian soccer league to support.
It is very likely that the Argos will have a large perm footprint at BMO/CNE grounds in the next few years.
The Stadium will be "shared" more than most on here will like.
My god man, billyfly you just hit 25 000 posts on here. I don't know whether to congratulate you or wish you well in TFC rehab.
The Argos FO will use all the tarps they used at Rogers Centre to tarp up the .500 level to cover all the TFC signage. Unless they sell-out every game this season and the next and people are paying for the tickets, I would not expect any permanent monuments to the Argos at BMO.
^Sorry but this is wrong. It will happen.
I can only imagine how those would be treated on game days.
So if the cover over the south end removable?
