Perquis playing for Poland is the equivalent of Goalberto playing for Brazil.

Either way, I'm not more convinced that Perquis is much better than Kantari so I won't lose sleep over it. Also, if we buy out Kantari, and Perquis cancels his contract by mutual agreement, does that free up all his cap space? Could be a good thing if so.
Yup, ideally I want both Perquis and Kantari gone. They've shown nothing to convince me that they are a significant upgrade over the other CBs we have on the team and certainly not worth the $300K+ they're both being paid. Two of the worst signings Bez has ever made.

You know Perquis already has caps and played for Poland at Euro 2012 right?

    Bit different than Ol'Gil tbf

I don't believe Perquis has played for Poland since Euro 2012. At this stage there's only one real standout stud at CB for Poland and that's Glik. They've used a variety of other guys to partner with him, one of them being Szukala who was just last year playing in Saudi Arabia but now plays for a 2nd Division Turkish team. I wouldn't say he is any better than Perquis. Nonetheless highly unlikely that he's called up unless lots of guys get injured.

In all honesty I really do think Perquis will standout as one of the best defenders in the league this year. He had a harder time adjusting compared to others but he was in fine form right before he got injured. Pair him with 2 additional veteran MLS defenders and I'm very content with our backline.

God I'd hope that Perquis doesn't leave, I mean it's not like he's been amazing, but Kantari is not starting caliber at all and I'd hate for us to be left with only him

Also worth considering that we should really try to avoid any more upheaval in regards to our back line

mlssoccer.com is a marketing, borderline propaganda tool for the league way before it's an official mouthpiece/resource. It is odd, but that's what it is. Some of the news that gets reported on there is eye-rolling stuff, but anything that has the slightest chance of drawing attention to the league or the US national team gets an article without hesitation.

What was that guy's handle on here again? He definitely is an urban legend, as in a legend on the urban rollerblading paths surrounding BMO

Real. I was on the boards that night when the guy said he was near BMO and he could grab his rollerblades and swing by to see if Forlan was there signing a contract. Haha...legend was born.

The roller blading legend you guys speak of is a friend of mine.

And though I'm not sure if he goes on this board much, I'll let him know that his name is still whispered across the lands.

Rollins also just said that the Dan Gargan signing was made in a cab. is this true? If so that's amazing. That's a quintessential Dan Gargan story.

I don't believe Borgan was our only option. I have faith in this management team to find a quality keeper.

I think it was stupid in the first place to release Konpoka, I rather have a veteran backup fill in when needed than two very young and unproven keepers. Yes they have to be blended into the first team at some point but they have time on their side, TFC cannot afford to loose and just throw the young keepers in.

Well, someone is gonna get signed to be the starter. But Roberts is gonna have to get minutes at some point soon. He was already one of the better keepers in USL last season and at some point you run the risk of stunting his progress.

Yes because Konopka is the only keeper out there and once a Canadian MNT becomes available, that is the only option for TFC.

So I see you've read our mandate. But there are still keepers to try for. We still have Kenny S. & Hirschfeld to make offers to. Then we're back to Konopka until we trade away Roberts, let him develop to be good, then make him an offer in few years time.

I don't see the point in bringing back Konpoka unless we just need a warm body. From what i have seen Q is already about the same as him and is supposed to be battling for the back up position this season.
