I hope Moore is gone simply because it will free up an international slot (?), roster spot and cap space so TFC can bring in more enforcement to help deal with midfield and backline.

Also getting rid of Moore will open up a spot for someone like Jordan Hamilton (assuming he's doing well in USL Pro) getting some first team minutes at some point of season

JH scored 3 goals in the USL. Weideman scored 4 for Ottawa to put it in perspective.

I wonder how much Brad Guzan would cost. Probably too much, but eh

With 32,000 pounds a week being his salary in 2015 I would think it would take a lot to bring him back to the MLS, more than teams on this side of the pond would likely want to spend on GK.

I so agree what is it with the Americans and there friendlies on non fifa dates. And the league's decision not to shut down games for those week's.

I'm bored. I just typed "Toronto FC" into google news and sorted by date.

Nik Ledgerwood and Simeon Jackson could be heading back to Canada, naturally TFC is mentioned. Neither of these players belong in MLS so I hope the Whitecaps go for one of them and FCE gets the other

And that's it. Everything else reported this week is a year-in-review discussing the 'fuck her in the pussy' guy.

I'd be surprised if we don't get a keeper before training opens later this month

    Next 2 weeks.

We'll be better be signing another Forward then, or else we'll only be left with Herculez and Jordan Hamilton in June!

I like Herbers if he falls to our spot in the draft, he's like a faster Patrick Mullins

Just saying ; I've watched every game , hoping I'd see this 'talented' player .....fight for lost balls . Watched him miss some 'striker' tap ins ...etc, (lazy again)....The effort from this apparently talented player is well disguised . But of course my head isn't immersed in every tactical football strategy known to man . I simply try to understand the game watching the individuals efforts on the field and the consequences of that . Maybe if he'd at least score a few of those tap ins.......What is his job then? Maybe we should forget Gio and build the team around him . He's either lazy with all that premiership talent or not good enough . Sometimes when you coach one has to make (lazy) gut choices .........or do 'stats' and theories simply dictate the game . We're simply fans , nothing more .

The team could do worse than starting him as a hold up player in support of gio, trading Altidore, and using the cap room for two quality players. Far better balance. And given that, I don't get all the hate for him. He is far from the top of the 2015 teams' issues.

Very nice, the only thing we need before training camp opns in a little over 2 weeks is a GK. Only thing floating out their is Lack Moore leaving the club which is addition by subtraction IMO, people say he has skills etc but as a 4th striker we can find someone much cheaper to score 1 goal. Not that we want to go back through retreads but Earnshaw could be interesting with Gomez at the right price.

I think when Barca got nowhere with an inquiry for Gio that other teams got the hint.

I think Seba and DiAmico's many public comments that he is happy in Toronto and not looking for a move put a pin any potential rumors.

Still, the window in Europe just opened. Plenty of time left for some more.

Jist of it is that he has hired a new agent to try and get him a move back to France so he can try and get back into the Poland squad.

Here is the dodgy google translation of a post from his agents Facebook

Damien Perquis formalized its ARRIVAL IN OUR TEAM!
The months, weeks, days go by and our team accumulates the good news and the many trusted brands. Today is the turn of Damien Perquis to rally our agency and trust us to manage his career and his future. Damien, central defender, 31, is a large professional currently operating in the championship increasingly popular with US in this Polish international FC TORONTO which could end the selection to compete in the upcoming EURO 2016 rallied the North American Championship there are now two seasons as a Didier Drogba or even the former Marseille Benoit CHEYROU which he is also the captain TORONTO FC He was previously at Betis of Seville. Formed in Troyes, he was then transferred to Saint-Etienne for 3 seasons and then it will remain at Sochaux or five years. Damien totals to date almost 300 matches in the elite! This means it is a great value of our football. In order to optimize the chances on his side to compete in the EURO 2016 with Poland, it would not be against a return to France in a club of the elite from the Winter Mercato. To be continued ...

Then why did he sack his old agent and hire a new one?

His old agency are the ones with VERY close ties to MLS.

    These guys https://www.facebook.com/unieliteathletes/

They facilitated the MLS and French Federation coaching course Vanney and Dichio took and have had a hand in most of the deals for French players coming into MLS. The guy that did the Eurosport documentary on TFC works/worked for them.

When was the last time Perquis played for Poland. I assume he's an extreme long shot to make the Euro squad considering he wasn't involved in the last qualifiers. Would seem silly of him to try and rush through a move to "better" his chances at making the tournament. Either way, I'm not more convinced that Perquis is much better than Kantari so I won't lose sleep over it. Also, if we buy out Kantari, and Perquis cancels his contract by mutual agreement, does that free up all his cap space? Could be a good thing if so.

His salary is reported to be roughly 1 million euros per season. In theory, we could afford him using TAM.

Don't see it happening but we could still play a diamond

    Gio - Altidore
    Fernandez
    Osorio - Bradley
    Johnson
    Beit- moor-CB-Morrow
    GK

Wouldn't really be the best defensive set up but we would score a billion goals.
