"Restructured part of his deal". Not sure.
If I was to guess, it was a willingness to give up a bonus provision (for making the playoffs, or winning the championship, or something). I doubt it was a lot of money, suspect it was symbolic (but not meaningless).
Bradley's comp was $6.5M in both 2014 and 2015.

“What the world needs is more geniuses with humility; there are so few of us left.”
With no announcements today I wonder if the club is sitting on news in hopes of making a big splash with a single announcement... could be trying to acquire Johnson and then announce his signing plus Moor's and Beitashour's all at the same time.
Yeah that's the new TFC M.O.
Plan the biggest splash possible to drum up ticket sales. If we get Johnson then expect a massive level of 'whoohoo Canada' stuff to be splashed all over the TFC social media sites.
Don't get me wrong though. If we manage to land all three of these guys then this offseason will be the one that puts the pieces in place to win in MLS. No super fan fair but exactly what is needed to win. They work a keeper in somehow and announce him too then we're talking.
^
Aye, I was thinking there would be a joint announcement. Regardless of if Johnson lands or not, I was thinkign today that i'm expecting to see Moor and Beitashour unveiled at the same time.

So much for FREE Agency. You can sign wherever you want, as long as others don't.
Rollins is bang on as usual.
Both are decent enough and i dont see how either is to blame if TFC doesnt make any signings today or tomorrow.
Give the guy *some* credit. He does break the odd story - IMO if anything personal gripes kind of derail his writing at times but he's well intentioned.
I poke up my head from my job and expect something damn it.
From the KC article.

I just don't even know anymore, I have my doubts about this so called free agency. No team may acquire more than two out-of-contract players via free agency in a given year.

My guess is that "free agency" is probably a very similar format to the re-entry draft, except the player can pick which team takes their rights rather than not having any say.
So that means we can't sign Will Johnson....
New mottos for MLS......
MLS "be sure to read the fine print"
MLS - My Lawyers Soccer
MLS - Most legislated soccer
MLS - Our rule book is magnificent
Yeah Moor would be our only free agent signing. I don't think we'd have interest in any of the others though.
Whew - glad Johnson isn't a free agent. Seriously the nuances in the rules in this league are mad. It's a spoiler - seems like 10 different drafts...homegrown weirdness rules, combines, free agency, TAM (wtf?), allocation, international spots, DP's..special DP's, and a million more salary cap rules.
