While Jozy and Borriello wouldn't necessarily complement each other, they do bring different skillsets to the table. Borriello is slower than molasses but is very strong in the air and at holding the ball up. Left-footed to boot. Jozy is none of these which could provide TFC with a tactical advantage depending on the situation. With the right service I think Borriello could do very well in this league and can offer significantly more than Corradi could (comparable player) while at Montreal.
Jozy is an injury prone international with poor discipline. Borriello would see significant minutes and I am all for swapping him with Moore in the squad. It seems this club will do anything to appease Bradley, having a compatriot for Seba to speak to isn't such a bad idea either.

i cant see them going into the season with 6 CBs and thomas on the farm, who would you move?
Does anyone know if Zavaleta is now counting against our cap? He was a Generation Adidas player so he had no cap hit. But now we've exercised the 1-year option on his deal, so does that extend his GA status or did extending him add his 125k salary to our cap?

Just speculating... maybe Konopka can land a spot with D.C.

TFC aren't signing a striker. c'mon. We are being used by Borriello's agent. What other plausible explanation is there?
What the world needs is more geniuses with humility; there are so few of us left.
Gomez's contract expires in the summer? That can't be true.
Only way this is possibly true is if Altidore were being moved. Which would have leaked.
This Borriello thing is a ridiculous joke.

Vanney points from that interview
Defence:
Caldwell was expected to be the leader at the back.
Bloom was going to be the starting RB.
Perquis difficult for him to be a leader in the back line because of his English and he needs to focus on his role. Perquis is very good "when he can focus on his role".
Man City agrees with him that the hardest position to find is the Centre Back.
Drew Moor is expected to be the leader back there.
Midfield:
"We have ideas in how we will structure things."
Can talk to "Michael" about where he can be great at. Where he can lock in for the next 5 years.
Have pieces that people trust can do their jobs. Guys need to be a bit more precise and be "masterful at something rather then good at everything."
Forwards
Borelli not coming - salary cap.
Possible that some things might be coming to add speed.

And he made it sound like the speed option is likely an academy grad.
I think that's the idea^
I might think Bokai if we're talking speed. He is incredibly fast.
