Around the 21:00 - 23:00 mark he says we are looking at another international signing and it doesn't sound like Babouli is going to sign a first team deal. Bez said he want both him and Hamilton to produce at the USL level. He says the rule has to be you must score at TFC II if you want to do it with the first team.

We have defenders to spare and several teams are short. RSL has four on their roster or something ridiculous like that.
Shame about Babouli if that's the case; sends a bad message when a guy wins a roster spot and then isn't given it.
Getting Moore off the books and at least one CB still gives us enough available spots for Balbouli + 1. we still got some roster maneuvering to do over the next two weeks.

Had no idea about that, but I assume that just means cap compliant. As of now I don't think we're over the cap. Still gotta get some guys off the books and get some guys in at entry level contracts.

wouldn't that just mean under the cap and at most 28 guys signed to first team contracts? pretty sure that's not an issue, or am i missing something? The transfer window doesn't shut tomorrow, so as long as we remain under those two barriers we should be fine, right? What am I missing?
what i dont get is how we are cap compliant. no one picked moore up off of waivers so we should still be dealing with his cap hit

Anyway. signing babouli isn't relevant to the cap since he wouldn't count against it. I can't imagine we won't pick him up before the season starts.

Indeed, it sets a bad double standard when a draft pick is allowed to earn an MLS contract in pre-season but an academy product isn't allowed to. Though I remember at the 2012 pre-season something like that happening as well. 20 year old trialist Orozco lit up the pre-season, they liked him a lot, but then they didn't sign him because they had sign more shitty CBs and Reggie Lambe.
Babouli played his way through the whole preseason with the senior team and looked good doing it. Give him the damn contract.
Maybe the make room for him by moving someone down to TFC II on a season long loan
