Nothing but the crest on the left breast and the adidas symbol on the right.

Maybe TFC want to wait another year for the stadium to be finished, doesn't the BMO naming rights expire next year. Perhaps they want to leverage the increase in TFC value when the stadium is complete and then package both jersey and field rights together.

Naming rights to stadium were not set to Expire this year, BMO still sponsor.
The jersey's naming rights were up for grabs, but I heard BMO has renewed for 1 more year.

Have to wait for the official word, but I have a feeling it is true.

    positives if this is true:

Old gear with the sponsor won't look dated.

Maybe they'll release our new Away kit soon.

I wonder how much BMO is paying to renew jersey sponsors?

I heard they were looking for 3 million for jersey sponsor. Not sure if BMO received a lower Renewal fee. Probably did.

Is it really just the 3 million? I'd assume it's a bargain for some companies to advertise on jerseys for that money.

Well I suppose they can do a canned kit release with pics done while they were here.

But, I suspect they will do the release on the 29th or March 1st.

I hope it's BMO. It would look so funny to have anything else. Plus, as far as sponsor logos go, you could do MUCH worse.

I was intrigued about potentially getting a new sponsor but I guess it's good news that it's finally been taken care of. Hopefully we'll see a leak of the new kit soon now.

^ Not surprised in the least. Though I will say it's curious to see them also extend the kit sponsorship for just a year. Maybe it's just me, but it sorta suggests there wasn't a huge demand from companies to get in on a sponsorship deal.

This does kill my theory about ScotiaBank taking over jersey sponsership.

Suspect that they threw it in the stadium rights deal.

^ Yeah, I could see that. That might be exactly it. Another ten-year contract for the stadium name is gonna be a HUGE chunk of change, afterall.

IIRC, naming rights go straight to MLSE - the city gets nothing. That caused a kerfuffle back in the day.

Yup and just for clarity, as someone will no doubt ask about it, see the last clause

pretty good for BMO...getting their name mentioned a lot during the Grey Cup.
but the Argos don't get any of the benefit of the sponsorship money.

It's a great move, particularly this late in the offseason. Hard to know if they are going to use the one year extension on the kit as a test for a longer deal, but it wouldn't surprise me. They've pretty much owned the soccer sponsorship space and its only growing in profile although TFC / MLSE could be asking for too much money.

    TFC doesn't get any either.
Just goes toward the stadium debt. I guess the roof and redone eastside benefits both TFC and argos fan experience, and extra revenue for both clubs from expanded eastside seats, suites and concessions.

The Argonauts indirectly do because of who their ownership is. Guess its up to Larry and Bell if they direct any of said money to their investment.

    Yep.
MLSE just borrowed $120m for the reno. They will just take all the namings rights $ and pay back the debt for the reno.
Nothing will go down to the club level. TFC didn't borrow $120m, MLSE did. If BMO paid anything for shirt sponsor (and MLS rules say its has to be 500k minimum), that goes to the club.
Naming rights will not affect season ticket prices ... shirt sponsorship revenue probably affects if they change season ticket prices

you have to separate the club (ticket sales, sponsorship, player salaries, front office, etc) from ownership (board level management, financier, and providing services to all its club plus now argos through services agreement).
