Orlando is not going to overtake us as long as we beat Philly. People here are forgetting Orlando only have two games left after Montreal.

So, TFC and ORL win: they are 5 points back with two games left, meaning we only need one point in our last 3 games to stay ahead of them.

However if MTL gets a draw then they'd be three points back with a game in hand. They have a tougher schedule, but with the extra game it's not inconceivable they could overtake us. Especially with that last game in Montreal.

I know everyone wants to clinch as soon as possible, but in this case Orlando is nothing to be worried about and we should be hoping for Montreal (and DC/NE/Columbus) to drop as many points as possible.

EXACTLY!!!!!! Montreal is the team to worry about right now, not Orlando.

Wouldn't it be great to see Toronto meet Montreal in the opening round of the p******s, then see the Reds eliminate the Limpact in said opening p****** round?
TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)

I'd rather we play somebody else at home thank you very much. A one off game is going to be stressful enough as it is, adding the derby thing is just more psycho drama.

After 7-8 years(lost count) of pain, suffering, shite, tripe etc... I believe that's the only way we would like it, I say hell yes, lets kick some Montreal ass!

We have the same effect with the DC-NYFC game Friday at 7pm. A DC win would help us clinch on Saturday, but a NYFC win helps us get to top 2. Of course a tie is best of all.

Agreed, ties in both matches + TFC victory would make me a very happy camper. Also no yellow for Seba the rest of the season, but, that is probably asking way too much!

Lampard with a goal in the first minute on a really really bad defensive breakdown.

NYC playing well against DC in a rainy RFK. Tie is ideal but i sort of want NYC to win so we have a better chance at a home p****** date!

Looks like we can still clinch tomorrow even if nyc wins. If we win tomorrow nycfc could still catch us on points but not wins, which is the first tiebreaker.

Well we now have a better chance of getting a p game, but our chances of a home game are slipping.

That was a game made for DCU to win the way they win - boring grind it out and eventually one of your shots or passes across will get a rebound.

I'm Ok with DCU winning. I'd rather play a play in game against DCU than playing it in Boston.

Would be nice if Chicago came back but if there is going to be a miracle Fire win, I'd rather it be against DCU in a couple of weeks.

I don't think there are real implications for us of the Fire-Revs game. Fire-DCU yes.

Every dropped point helps. We now have a game in hand on the Revs and are just 1 point back, same as Columbus.

Any team that is within 1 point of us instead of 4 points is a good thing.

NER's next game is at home to Montreal.

Then they close out in Yankee stadium.

Gilberto seems to have found a home - better forward for them then Accam.

    **

In other news, as unlikely as it sounds, if we win the next 2 games, we are guaranteed at least 4th regardless of the result in Montreal. That's a big ask though.

And for those wondering why home field is considered so important by pundits, take a look at the current MLS standings

    http://www.mlssoccer.com/standings

Average amount of away wins for the 12 teams in p****** position - 4

Apparently this is only the 3rd time Seattle has played at home with the NFL lines. Up against LAG tonight. Seattle all over 30 except for 2 players that are 29 - greybeards.
