Red Bulls away to Columbus should be interesting. Hopefully Gilberto can do to New England what he did to us.

On a side note, anyone watch LA vs Dallas last week? Thoroughly entertaining game. I'd love to have Fabian Castillo on our team.

Drogba vs Kaka should be fun to watch on Saturday evening. Would've been nice if they were both younger but it should still be entertaining.

1-0 PUFC at HT. Killer run from LeToux for goal. Philly dominating and frustrating SKC.

KC ties it around the 65 minute mark. Both teams trying hard. Wear each other out please!

Last time a shitty team lost on PKs in the open cup prior to a Saturday matchup with us we lost (NYCFC) I'm cautious as to the extent of the benefit of having a team play 120 mins on the Wednesday

Was one of the better US Open Cup finals I've seen. Penalties were much better than typical MLS standard. Hope to hell Philly doesn't play like that on Saturday. Like others said, lets see how the long game tonight affects them.

It's no guarantee, but you gotta admit an exhausted and demoralized team that we've already beat twice this year has to be an ideal situation.

Why is that good? It'll be beneficial for us if MTL beat Orlando.

Orlando is pretty much out of the race, TFC's magic number is 4 (5 if you count the most extreme situation). If Orlando beats MTL, it helps us finish better than 6th as that is where we currently sit based on PPG.

The more DC and MTL lose, the better the chances of a home p****** in the first round.

Feel quite certain its beneficial to us for Montreal to tie or lose. They are one point behind with one game in hand. We want the higher seed

Orlando isn't out yet. A Montreal win knocks out one competitor for the last spot. Of course if TFC really plays well and DC doesn't, we could get a top 2 spot making it better for Montreal to lose. It's complicated.

If we win, surely the best result would be MTL and Orlando getting a tie? It knocks Orlando out of the play off picture, while taking two points off of Montreal. It would certainly be nice to get a p****** place confirmed this weekend before we take on Red Bulls and Crew. Takes a bit of pressure off the boys going in to those games then.

NYC DC tie. Orlando MTL tie, TFC win is the ultimate result.
If orlando win, we'll have MTL 1 point behind us, and Orlando 2 points. That's the worst case scenario. Oh and NYC win. There's a strong chance that this game coming up is the last chance for us to get a W. Lose it, and we're in doodoo.

At this point i want to clinch saturday night... If not it may end up being wednesday the 14th and well I'd rather be able to celebrate with all my fellow supporters Saturday than have to have a subdued post game on the 14th.

Once we clinch we can look at who is above us and who is below us. The ideal situation is DC draws and MTL draws.

Wouldn't we want NYC to lose to DC in the ideal situation? The light blue boys are pretty much eliminated already and we dont want DC to gain any points.
