Default Other MLS Games Sept 23 - Sept 27

    So Montreal hosts Chicago tonight.

Would prefer a few red cards and a draw.

    Gilberto starts

    Bekker starts

Chicago bench is interesting with Mikey Stephens, Harry Shipp and Mike Magee.

Forgot that its Jon Busch who is the second string keeper for Chicago - he's good for at least one incredulous post goal face each game.

So far Accam and Nyarko look like the ones to watch when we meet Chicago.

Awright, here we go Blue jays, gotta go!

Tied in Montreal now, that would be great for us. (Well a Chicago win would be even better, but I don't want to be greedy.)

Only problem, wrong guys keep getting the yellows. Igboananike apnd Nyarko getting yellows would be perfect...

Ciman gets a 2nd yellow, how many red cards is that on the season for him? Only blight on his first year MLS resume really.

Hopefully the Red Bulls can do us a solid and beat Orlando. We could use some room between us and those teams still trying to cross the red line.

He's really doing well as deep lying playmaker for Montreal. He really needs an experienced destroyer next to him though, something he didn't really have at Dallas.

Meh, they're not catching us. I want NY to trip up for the last couple of games.

he finally looks inclined to play forward passes, which is a big step up from last year. Maybe it was just than Nelsen was a shit coach, who wouldn't even have been able to coax out of fucking Beethoven.

I wonder how important the Supporter's Shield really is to the teams. I only ask because now that New Jersey has clinched their playoff spot will they start the throttle back the amount of minutes their starters play in preparation for the post-season or are they still going to go balls-to-the-wall to get the Shield?

    As indicated

NYRB host Orlando tonight at 7 pm

    Saturday

MTL vs. DCU 5 pm. - tie game please, with lots of reds and yellows

Columbus hosts Portland 7:30 pm - Portland needs this one bad, CBus looking good of late and wanting to get that #2 spot - Portland win would be nice

NER hosts Philly 7:30 pm - Hate to say it, but a NER win here would be a good result for us as we would rather face NER in a home and away then in the first round - Only Creavalle can yellow out for the following game against us.
NOTE - Philly is playing SKC mid week in Chester for the US Open Cup. Not sure if they will rest players Saturday for that game.

Houston host Colorado 8:30 pm - chances of getting in running away from these two but don't be surprised by a Rapids win here - Houston has been poor at home of late

Vancouver host NYCFC - 10 pm - Whitecaps win please

    Sunday

SKC host Sea 5 pm - More jockeying for position in the west

SJ host RSL - 7 pm - a loss here for either team is going to be BAD - so probably a 1-1 tie

LA vs Dallas - 9 pm - 2 vs 3 trying to seperate themselves from the lower part of the West

They want that home field advantage through the playoffs and think they can win the Cup - Cup final at home is a BIG advantage. They'll only turn off the jets once that's clinched.

Nice counter by ORL to make it 2-1. Entertaining game but man the defenses on both sides sure are wonky.

Hmmm....Miazga and Higuita are both out the next game for accumulation.

NYRB are getting hit by that high line and speed. Wish we had speed on our team.

Damn, Larin with his second of the night. Quite the goal-fest too bad New Jersey couldn't be on top. Then again the game's not over.

Larin's hat trick is the big story, but that free kick by NYRB was amazing:

Drogba ripping DCU apart. Mtl has momentum leading to playoffs. Scary
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

I knew Drogba still had the skills to finish but this has been an unreal start for him.
