I hope that Vanney leaves the line up pretty much as it was, we need some consistency. Not saying that we could not plug in a couple of players, but the shape worked, the two DMs shilded the CBs, and we need to try to get a pairing going in the position.

Hoping to see Jackson instead of Delgado at right back, was shakey back there for good portions of the game, prefer him in the middle

Would be quite happy to see a right side of Jackson and Gomez.

I'd be happy to see no line up changes for once.

I want to say a game where Giovinco gets to run at Ty Harden should be a win for TFC, but knowing our luck, Ty Harden probably scores a brace for Chicago
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

So much for the "new coach bounce," Montreal beat Chicago 2-1.

On tonight's game from a Fire beat guy

Frank Yallop may be gone but the look and the results weren't any different for the Fire. A 2-1 loss in Montreal featured many of the issues that were evident during the first 29 games of the season. Lack of finishing when given chances, no possession coupled with weak midfield play, and the seemingly inevitable late game defensive breakdown were all there to behold once again with Brian Bliss and Logan Pause on the sidelines.
The old sports adage that teams get a bump when coaches are replaced doesn't always apply. There may be some individual talent but this Fire roster simply isn't good enough and any notion that a few minor changes will result in a dramatic turnaround into contention for something substantial next year should be dispelled as dubious thinking at best. The entire back line needs to be revamped, and central midfield and forward need upgrades. Those aren't minor tweaks.

    As well...

I just had Caldwell call me and he knows this message isn't aimed at the supporters, he wants people in early.

I know I looked at the crowd last weekend at kick off and felt bad. It was a half empty stadium.

Steven is going to be coming by and saying hi prior to the game about 1:45 ish in the south stands.

That miss was jaw dropping. Chicago had enough chances they should have drawn that game.

After what I saw last night, I fully expect Larentowicz to man mark Giovinco and hard foul him whenever he can but there will be opportunities for others to get in and score.

I'd like to give him a hand Saturday. I hope they sub him off so we can do that.

I can't be too critical of Delgago. Him playing RB seems to be only half his duties. It just depends on how Vanney presents the lineup. I don't know if he keeps cheating up to midfield our its Vanney's direction to get his ass back to help Williams every time but I think "shaky" is pretty much manic double duty. No real difference than what's expected from Jackson, though.

Would love to see TFC show this video! Make fun of the cry baby at the same time as saluting Gilberto!

Delgado played most of a season at RB for Chivas. EDIT: And was one of their few decent players.

Haven't seen one that bad since a sitter was missed by a certain Cunningham.

Oduro had a beauty recently when Impact played us at BMO. I think even worse than Accam's. Would have to go back to re-watch it to confirm but I remember it being really bad from where I was in 114.

Yup...added it here now. Beauty. If Accam wants to do this on Saturday I am ok with it. Let's hope these types of chances don't pop up though.

Maicon Santos ignoring Stevanovic and missing a wide open net from 6 yards out is still the worst thing I've ever seen in MLS. Equal parts awful finishing and selfish, borderline narcissistic play.

Kamara's is considered one of the worst ever. He missed it with both feet on the goalline, then knocked it in with his hand.

    Kamara is the gold standard.

Larin's in the Gold Cup might be the best of the rest

What adds to the Gilberto goal so much is the reaction of the rest of the team - they were all thrilled for him. Watch Luke Moore and how thrilled he was. There was some team spirit at that moment.

but Drogba got away with murder and you know Gio will be tossed everywhere and probably end up with the foul . Kinda shitty Drogba ( as much as he's bringing excitement to MLS), is apparently given free reign while Gio is simply disrespected by the refs .

Since we've been discussing what is wrong with this team (here and in the Yallop thread), thought I'd point this out. Moving Rolfe out was probably the biggest single mistake they have made
