So... so much for that new coach bounce coming into BMO

Action Jackson returns.
Well, someone's got to manage expectations - keep people from getting too high or low before/after every game. I go for the happy medium!
That said, it's mostly the uncertainty that has me cautious. I'm sure I'll feel a lot better after seeing how they play Montreal tomorrow, and their injury news has me more encouraged (not that I would ever wish any bad on players, just facing a weaker lineup wouldn't hurt).
I've never been sold on Johnson and Gehrig seemed somewhat lost at times. Mind you, the replacements may not be all that much better.
Johnson is a lot like most MLS keepers - he can consistently make some brilliant saves but is good about once a game for an outrageous error. He also can't organize a defense. He's young though, especially for a keeper, so I'm sure he'll get better.
He's up for an extension and raise this off season though, so most Fire fans think he'll be off to Scandinavia in the winter.

Agreed. Part of the issue I have with the "Bendik is awful" that swings to "Konopka is awful" meme up here is we have never had a keeper who doesn't make those errors. In MLS, there is Hamid, Rimando and most of the time Robles. All the rest are a judged based on how often they mess up.
^ Don't forget Ousted. He's really underrated.
If anyone chants TO Reject at Gilberto this Saturday, you're an idiot.
Does Gilberto speak english? May be he wouldn't even care about that chant lol
You won't catch me saying that. In fact, I never say that to a former player, unless maybe they're an asshole and left Toronto in a huff. But, Gilberto, I have nothing against that guy. I see him as a victim of disorganized management. I wish him luck... just not against us.
Remember that the DVP is closed, so be sure to get down to the stadium early to avoid traffic. I think it would be great if the stadium was a little more packed for kick off.

Of note for Chicago's game vs. Montreal tonight, Igboananike and Nyarko are both 1 yellow away from suspension for the match vs. TFC this weekend. If Igbo gets a yellow that probably means a start for Gilberto against us.
Hehe I'm pretty sure people here would even be happy with Neuer in goal. Then again i guess a sweeper keeper with the atrocious defenders in front of him would never work in MLS....
Good news.
The DVP is open on Saturday.
Tonight's match is going to be interesting. Looking to see how the Fire respond to the management purge. Will it be dead cat bounce or TFC fumble. Will be tough in Montreal for them.
