So now we are set to play our first MLS game without Seba (we played Voyageurs first leg against Montreal without him)

IF Seba and Jozy are both called up, I'll take Gomez at the tip of a 4-2-3-1 against Seattle thank you very much. Anything out of that game is gravy.

We need Seba to be called. It's of fundamental importance to his long term peace of mind.

Nothing is more important to MLS than big national teams calling players having success in MLS.

What if consistently losing players to international duty messes with an MLS team's ability to develop/maintain chemistry?

What if losing players for critical games causes a team to miss playoffs?

Every good team has call ups in this league. Gotta learn to win with and without them.

That's a good point but, if the league wants these players, they should be factoring major tournaments into scheduling. And teams shouldn't have to beg players out of friendlies.

Then MLS will eventually have to stop scheduling games during official FIFA breaks... Like the rest of the world does

Hurray to low attendance wed games!

Every team has a number of by-weeks. Surely they could find a way of having all the by-weeks at the same time on FIFA dates. Apart from the WC and GC, there aren't that many fifa dates during the season. Our bigger problem is that the USMNT schedules games on non-FIFA dates and MLS teams are expected to let their US internationals go for those games

that is on M L S .......we should have int breaks . They charge premium prices for some of these games with depleted rosters . Joke . Or expand the roster and increase minimum pay .

Totally agreed. Plus it's an honour for the club.

Altidore called up to the U.S. squad. Bradley will be our only DP available vs. Seattle.

Good to see get the selection as it means he is getting back to form, especially with three goals in the last two games.

Good to see the friendly call up? Nope.

    Big difference between the two.

Giovinco has left the Italy camp due to his knock from Saturday. Feeling so bad for the guy.

He definitely needs to be rested for this Seattle game. No reason to risk further injury to play over there.

I'm thinking he's out until the Chicago game - yes, almost a month. Abductor muscle is going to take time. Don't rush him back or he's gone for the season.

That certainly makes sense. This kind of situation is exactly why it was nuts not to play Gomez in recent games. He needs the minutes and will be important in the stretch.

Yeah Gomez should have had minutes vs Orlando, not sure what vanney was thinking.

I haven't looked the numbers up, although I think Seba and Bradley played the most minutes out of any other reds player and they are probably both gassed.

If Seba gets the green light to play after the seattle game, that would be great, since he probably needs the rest.

    It was easy.
    Jackson had an injury.
    Altidore needed minutes.
Findley for his pace on the counter. Gets one drawn penalty and an assist.

Regardless, he still could have given Gomez some playing time, especially with a 5-0 blowout.

I'm pretty sure the plan was to play Gomez on Saturday but injuries kiboshed that.
