Default Jackson: Are there any doubters?

This is a thread to celebrate all things Jackson.

What a season it's been so far, he was shaky at fullback last season but as a midfielder he's a different beast. Stats don't tell the full story but from what I've observed this season, we've got a real game changer on the bench. When he's not covering miles of space and closing down the opposition, he's spraying balls around the field like David fucking Beckham. His service has been in another class this year and I'm surprised that his only recorded assist was that no look throughball to Giovinco. On top of all that, he puts the fear of god into opposing players with those hard tackles.

So here's to you Jackson, you magnificent bastard!

I believe his turning point was leaving the BMO off his shirt that one game. He's had several good games but he's a player that has definitely earned his spot. Nice to see a non DP player get some love.

I like him too and would hate to see him go. He fills a need that we have and any team can use a guy like him. He gets knocks around here because of his stone feet and his dodgy crossing but he can lock down a wing like nobody else on our squad. Whenever we face a team with good, speedy wingers/fullbacks then it's Jackson time.

That's the thing, his crossing has been on point this season. I mean, as well as it gets for a standard salary MLS player that is.

His pressure on the ball led to Giovinco's goal against Columbus and helped get our comeback started. He's always been tenacious on the defensive side of things in midfield. Not the best feet and sometimes a bit of a hot head, but also pops up with the occasional goal. He's a solid role player.

Feel like i've grown to like him more this season thanks to his reduced/changed role within the team. He's a solid option off the bench and is versatile when Vanney tries to switch things up tactically.

Still has flaws but is defo a valuable member of the squad.

He's been a servicable MLS type winger/wide midfielder mostly as a sub. The sort of player all teams around this league want and have.

    Happy to have him here.

Totally different player this year. Not taking stupid fouls, making smarter decisions, better passes, better runs. Yup, I'm loving him this season. Really effective coming off the bench with that speed.

Jackson and Giovinco work really well together. I'd say that Jackson Henrique Gonçalves Pereira is one of the best on this team at getting him the ball. Oftentimes with an accurate long ball or a cheeky backheel.

    He's my new Nick Soolsma.

I have always liked Jackson, even when he was a bit of a blunder last year. This year even better.

hes no jackson martinez, but no one can fault his insane work rate. Im sure tired players just fear him coming fresh off the bench. hes has endurance, speed and effort, not often do you get the three

I'd like him to change his squad number and wear #5...that way we'd have 2Morrow and Jackson5.

I'm also hoping for Captain Morgan one of these days, too.

Jackson is a valuable player, I've always supported him. He's gotten a lot of flack on here in the past. I thought he was the best player in Columbus. He's shown to be a very useful winger, defensively imposing and a knack for making things happen offensively. He will lose possession sometimes but he takes chances to try and get the ball in dangerous positions.

Good MLS player, and good use of an international slot. He can do a job.

Mentally he's good and makes a good sub because of his energy and speed. Carrying out what he plans to do mentally, especially in crossing, it's like 1 out of 5 times.

I was dubious about the praise Jackson bandwagon - his recent positive reviews were based on televised games in Columbus and New England and I always fear what camera angles and edits can do...
Last night he was a solid, smooth and speedy right back vs Orlando. Please let me join the Jackson fan club on a trial basis....

I hope he stays for sure. If not and we get something useful for him, I'd be looking to bring him back next year.
