Super slow-mo version. Love Morgan's reaction when he sees it go in.

Yes Morgan's reaction is priceless , seeing his reaction almost brought me to tears seeing one of our own Canadiand kid react that way, and Morgan gave it his all last night too.

Giovinco makes the defenders look atrocious. He was also a menace with the Int. games.

I watched the Italy-norway game while in Rome. The locals agreed, Giovinco was the spark that led to the victory. He was praised all around. If somebody would tell me how to post a photo I took with my ipad, I will share it here...smiling Seba at the airport yesterday morning. He is the genuine article.

So how many here have seen this goal 10 or more times? 20 or more times? It's hard not to keep looking at it!

One thing I noticed in the slo-mo version is that he actually doesn't look when he hits the ball... only afterwards. It's like he knows where the goal is at all times.

On its own it goes down as an amazing goal. Because of its significance - it goes down as one of my two all time favorites.

I have to be over 50 watches now lol. I live in Belleville so could not make the game last night and watched on tv. When he scored I shouted out at the top of my voice "you have got to be fucking kidding me". It was surreal, it pretty much brought me to tears. And Nigel's commentary was awesome too. And I liked De Vos's comment about the defender with his shorts round his ankles.
i love the old guy with the grey hair in the west side in the video after he scores, pretty sure he is saying holy fuck, which was probably the words out of many a mouth.
i sent the video to one of my buddies today, he said it made the hairs stand up in the back of his neck.
For me it's up there with one of the greatest ever moments at BMO......good times.

I know its a bit obvious that our team record goes with Giovinco, but looking at the stats this season, Gio has been held off the score sheet (goals and assists) in 9 of our 12 losses, and has been on the score sheet for 18 of 19 games where we picked up at least 1 point.

Checkout the game log if you don't believe it

    MVP for sure!

Some more quotes from Giovinco there, including this on his future:

Finally, Giovinco discussed the rumours of an interest by Barcelona. "I read about that, but I'm happy where I am. My only project in January is to go on holiday, I haven't done that in a year and a half."

No loan deals, good to read.

Mind you, he's already playing for Italy and doing a great job, there isn't the same motivation that some players have to keep a hand in Europe.

The Italian media has been very positive about Giovinco's performance with the Azzurri. Funny thing is Conte is the guy that could not use him enough.

I got to tell you that as an Italian immigrant to Toronto , my first love of the city was for the Blue Jays, I came in 1984 and in 1985, I felt the passion. It looks like Seba is having a similar experience. Having a huge Italian community helped, as it seems for him.

I do not like to rivalries between local teams, it is good to feed of the Civic spirit.

If he gets picked to the Italian NT, it'll prove that playing in the MLS can get him to international success.

I also think Bradley, Altidore and the USMNT could play a big role in him staying here as well.
If the USMNT can continue to excel on the world stage and beat big teams in meaningful games, not just friendlies - it'll show him that playing in the MLS can keep you match fit and ready for international play

The other part of why he wouldn't go is the quality of life in Toronto. he's a family man and this city plays really well for him to play football, get paid properly, live life like a baller hanging with Snoop Dogg and have a quiet family life all at the same time.

So Gio & Kamara are both on 22 goals, and Kamara is suspended next match. What is the tie breaker for the golden boot if Gio doesn't score?

Tie breaker is assists. Unless someone else scores a ridiculous number of goals, Giovinco has the Golden Boot.
