There is nobody on god's green earth who would say no to Barcelona because of playing time worries. Except Ibra.

Loan deal - would be my guess. That kind of talk is agent chatter putting feelers out.

It is so NA sports to be worried about MVP - best MLSer ever. Unless he carries this team to win something or a final at least - then MVP chatter is a waste of time.

Italy's game is on Sportsnet 1 this afternoon for anyone looking to see how Seba does.

And do we think Seba will get an appearance in the game?

Looks like Seba isn't in the starting lineup and could come on off the bench.

Italy: Buffon; Darmian, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Sciglio; Candreva, Verratti, Parolo, El Shaarawy; Pellè, Eder

Italy bench: Padelli, Sirigu, Barzagli, Santon, Florenzi, Soriano, Bonaventura, Montolivo, Bertolacci, Zaza, Giovinco, Quagliarella

    Ref: Collum (SCO)

I can see El Sharawaay coming off for Giovinco. I'm hoping he see's at least 30 minutes today.

Azerbaijan national team is a very low rank country so Conte should experiment.

Currently tied at 1 after Italy opened up the scoring, will be interesting to see if Seba gets on the pitch.

Yeah not looking good in the final third. Until now anyway. Just drew a red from being fouled on a clear goal scoring opportunity (through ball through the middle)

It's hard to come in the last 10 minutes. Drawing a red card and free kick off the bar is more then most would do!

he's been really good for southampton and their options up top are pretty limited.

Nice, Gionvinco draws another foul outside the box. Unfortunately the whistles goes before the free kick attempt.

Good shift by the little man. Looked a bit out of place with a few wayward passes but settled into it quickly enough and threatened a few times in his 14 minutes (incl injury time).

That was a very nice 10 mins or so from Giovinco.
Would love to see him get a start.

Draws a yellow and a red, another foul, hits the bar off a freekick. Couldn't ask for a better 10 minutes

Seba made a big impact for the very few minutes he played. Draws a red, and hits the bar.

I guess you haven't been watching the full game. Set up the 2nd goal and he is one of the best at holding the ball up. He does a lot of work and had a couple of good chances. Giovinco might start on Tuesday with Italy clinching a Euro birth. Big game for Norway as they need to win to clinch over Croatia. Giovinco was very lively from when he came on to the end of the game. He doesn't get pulled down from behind, he probably scores and hits his only free kick off the bar. Guy could still be starting for a Top 6-7 team in Italy. I'm thankful we have him and he's not going anywhere.

They've officially qualified now so I'm hoping Conte gives him more of a start in the next match. He looked solid up front.

Giovinco >> El Shaarawy and definitely deserves a spot in this Azzurri setup.

He's been very good for the Saints and made some nice plays today, though not his best performance. Seeing he and Giovinco up front together brought me back to their U-20 days when it looked like they were going to be the perfect partnership for the Azzurri's next generation.

No, I watched the whole game and he seems to be an extremely basic hold up player, then again it's only one game and I don't watch premier league so I'm not really qualified to make a judgement I guess

Giovinco I'm pretty sure has the highest salary of all the Italian players on the Italian national team, and he does not even play in any of the top European leagues, crazy if you really think about it.

Makes about 1.5m CAD more than Buffon who is the next highest. Balotelli I believe makes roughly the same amount as Seba and he hasn't been on the squad either.
