When I first saw it, it looked like the ball made a slight change in direction after Oso. But looking at that Gif, I think if it touched Oso, it would have changed the spin at least. Clearly the spin doesn't change at all. GOTY right there. If it doesn't at least win GOTW, there is no hope for fans on this continent

Good call, but you also made the following prediction in April,

"Vanney will be gone in 3 weeks and Donadoni will be the new coach."

You know Seba is winning MVP when even Matthew Doyle is convinced. He's been pumping the tires on the Feilhaber bandwagon all year.

Nice. Happy for Seba. True competitor that wants that golden boot. He deserves it too

He's going to tear the league apart.

Yeah i got that one wrong but I still want to see vanney gone next year, although with the team now inching towards a playoff spot, its a sure bet that he will be back next season.

Has to be goal of the year now it is officially his.

People on MLS are talking about Drogba's free kick? Giovinco has blasted how many in from the dead ball position? Has close range ones, banking off the post and that dirty one that must have been 35+ yards.

I bet it won't get voted as goal of the year even though it was a nice bit of skill. Lots of people think it was him just putting it back in the box and a fluke that it went in. Drogba has been doing well lately and MLS seem desperate to put someone else in the spotlight since nobody could keep up with Giovinco all year and MLS writers seemed to be tired of writing that Giovinco did it again. He will get league MVP this year which is great...Goal or the Week or Year awards I don't think are not that big a deal. Not sure how much Drogba can keep it up at his age so time will tell if this is just a blip on the radar for Drogba and Montreal.

Nobody on MLS is saying its a fluke. A few people are saying Drogba's free kick is a better goal. GOTW voting hasn't started.

Yeah its a bummer to always see the Reds concede the first goal. Its almost routine, although on the positive side, the team responds by fighting harder and with more urgency.

Agreed. These awards are meh in comparison to MVP and golden boot.

Drogba is a tank. I hate the limpact but I hope he continues to be in form. Fun to watch.

Seba in Team of the Week yet again: http://www.torontofc.ca/news/2015/09...-mls-team-week

That's the 10th time he's made it this season. I wonder if he's approaching another record here...

We are right in the mix in terms of wins. League high is one with 15, the a bunch of 14s in the west. Only New York in the east has 14W and less then 10 losses. Everyone else double digits in East. The East is consistently mediocre it seems, our incredible attack gives us an edge but our terrible defense really sinks us.

And the highest payroll in the league is meh, it is just 3 players. Honestly our three DPs have done their jobs, Giovinco MVP, Altidore has netted 11 in 23 and Bradley has had a great season overall. There has been low moments for Altidore and Bradley but overall we should be satisfied, at least I am.

    Defensively.... eeeeep.

We are were we on the shoulders of our DPs.

Vanney gets some credit for both helping them shine offensively and not being able to fix the problems defensively.

How many times has Vanney hung Altidore out to dry on the wing this season?

No, it was 4-4-2 with a diamond shape midfield.

Although it was often more flat in performance than in shape. The gaping holes especially in the midfield were often shocking, especially in comparison to the disciplined two lines of 4 each that we often saw from Chicago.
