It was fun to have this match, with everyone trying to feed the ball to DeRo so he could score. Final tally: DeRo 3, Dichio 1.

My wife & I really enjoyed the DeRo match. Great seeing some of the guys out there again. Sometimes I was pretty clued out though, as to who was who.

The ref was having fun as well. One of the best moments was a free kick, ref ceremoniously put a big pile of foam where the kick was to be taken, and then just sprayed some foam in the direction of the "wall."

I think I'll just remember that game from today, and forget about the 2nd one, grrrr......

Absolutely.

If one and two players evoke a particularly positive reaction from the crowd, that would compliment the occasion, nicely (within reason, mind; i.e. not sure about Dichio24 being sung or any banners for other players showing up, for instance). That said, it might be that another few players didn't have the best of times, here.. but, at the end of the day, are her for DeRo.. who we love; would be like booing his family members, on a day to celebrate his accomplishments, because they spoke out of turn or something.

Think this one through, guys.

About positive and negatives in the crowd -

There were peeps excited to see Gerba again and he got chances. There was some chants for him but when he got his best chance right in front of us he flubbed it. I tried chanting something positive but I fear he thought I was being sarcastic.

but he really was a Gold cup hero...

Almost every player we chanted for acknowledged us in the crowd. it was a special day.

really wish i could have gone, wish it was on a different day than a regular season game, make an event of it, prob a better turn out

Had a great time at the Testimonial, really disappointing turn out unfortunately. Dero made his way around the stadium to shake hands/sign/pose after the match. The better half and her eldest took some video and a few photos.
