I have no hope for this match. Either we bunker Nelsen ball style and keep it ugly and interesting in a results way or we open it up and get an old days TFC 5-1 shellacking.

Sportsnet 360. Is that a real channel? @Parkdale , does Joe even have it?

I fell as though we will go back to the defensive 4-4-2 style and try to salvage a draw.

Then at home, play with the diamond like we did against Montreal

Defence won't be able to hold off the NE offence even with the road formation. Offence will be tired from Wednesday against a tight NE defence. 2-0 for the bad guys.

Forecast is for rain. I would sit the 3 DPs. I am not kidding.

Me too. I'd roll out that first leg line up against the Impact minus Bradley.

you think vanney is going to sit the DPs when his head is basically lying against the chopping block and the blade is ready to fall ... no way

Well a bunch of Revs fans think this is a good game to rest players and play their bench guys and they should still win. Makes me hope we kick their ass more. Would be nice. Wonder if the Revs coaching staff thinks along those lines too.

Guys, how many people do you think were screaming for Olsen's head the year DCU won only 3 games? Vanney isn't going anywhere. #getusedtoit

The secret to containing NER is to control the space between midfield and defence without leaving ur forwards detached. Don't give them room to operate.

Look for the diamond again. And look for Jozy and Seba to continue to go out wide to get balls and then run at their defence.

NER's weakness is Jermaine Jones in defence. Can't deal with headers and crosses - he's good at dealing with one on one but positionally, he's a mess. Problem is, our FB"s can't cross worth beans. Hopefully Osorio and Warner play in the middle again cause they are our two best service providers. Cause Jozy can own Jones.

Jones vs. Jozy is going to be interesting to watch.

Just a thought: let's just support the team in this thread and leave the Vanney negative talk in the other one. It's kind of depressing.

I think Warner deserves a start in this one. As much as I love Jackson's work rate, Warner is smarter with the ball and also works hard.

Anyone fancy the upset tonight? If we sit back, stay organized and get Gio the ball on the counter I think we could pull it off.

I think we can legitimately beat any team in the league with our attack. However it is the bone head mistakes that hurt us. If a team breaks us down with good buildup and skill, ok. But the non-marking and questionable passes need to end. We can't gift a team like NE goals. (Perquis comes to mind in both man-marking and bad passes lol)

This might get ugly, real ugly, we just don't match up against these guys, Lee Nguyen will have a field day in the midfield a guy who makes pennies compared to Bradley will boss the mid. Jermaine Jones along with Charlie Davies will have an effect on this game 4-1 for the bad guys, the losing will continue as the season once again slowly slips away, say it isn't so please someone wake me up and tell me this season will be different and the nightmare that has been TFC since 2007 is over .
