Altidore is such a stud. We've got 2/3 DPs clicking, we need a coach that can get Bradley going now.
This teams football Iq is still low, aside from maybe 3 or four players. Also we move the ball far to slow during build.
Chemistry is still so low for the team as a whole. Some player combinations have good chemistry but as a whole, we're overlapping and mispassing. This team needs more time together (along with a good sign for CB to replace Caldwell and LW to have Oso as a sub).
I'm starting to think we could have Messi, Ronoldo and Zlatan as DPs and Mourinho as coach, and this team would still struggle. The supporting cast is quite simply not good enough and until that is addressed we are going nowhere. If you think about it, for all the big names that come in, we just swap like for like, and never really address the supporting cast (Altidore for Defoe, Bradley for Laba etc) Instead of just swapping DPs every year we need improve on the quality of the journeymen in the squad. The very fact we are pining for Caldwell to return underlines this point
Giovinco needs to be the playmaker - he's often too high up as a second striker - he needs to be behind the ball with the field in front so he can pick out the through-ball. Right now none of the midfield 3 can pick out a pass.
This is very close to the truth. Besides the obvious DP talents this team still has problem identifying quality journeyman talent. still using pace and power as the main attributes instead of players that might not the most athletic but can think the game.....Guevara for example.
