Get ready for some Warner people.
Get ready for some Warner people.
I want to be positive, as we have been ok going forward. But year after year we have problems with basic team defense and defensive concentration. Every manager that we have brought in has been an failure overall, and we keep on bringing in questionable choices, and Vanney is another one in the long list of hires. Until we get the right coach to build this team from the ground up forget it. . I am not sure Vanney can not turn it around, but I think he has been in charge long enough, that this team shuold be doing better. And yes there are many new players on this team, so I would give him some more time. But no more then 1/3 of a season, as we cannot burn another season.
Again I am not slagging Vanney, I am just tiered of us being fucking amateurs in defending.
Going by what Vanney has been saying since Thursday I can easily see us getting ripped apart at the back. He seems pretty set on playing players in more uncomfortable positions but claiming the opposite in interviews.
I expect Morrow at CB and Hagglund and Morgan at FB. Will be better than any back line with Creavalle in it but still, I expect disaster. I am going with 4-1 Dallas. If our offense clicks maybe 4-2 but I doubt it.
Agree. Warner looked fine last year and really stepped it up this year. Several great passes in pre-season and very fit! He also got off season training, like Morrow. I think we under-rate him. However, if Cheyrou is out (and Bradley can't play the whole game), that will be difficult to cover for.
If Bloom is out, we have no RB to put in the RB slot. Pretty typical in MLS for that to mean people shift all over the place. I'd rather see Morrow at RB cause of Dallas' pace. But I could live with Jackson.
3-0 nil loss and I hate Kurt Larson and Jason de Vos
edit: lol hi Kurt, nothing against ur journalism, more ur Twitter personality

Looks like the weather in Dallas/Frisco has improved quite a bit over the past 24 hours.
Here's a look at a webcam shot I just took:
currently they're experiencing temperatures around 24 Celsius with quite a bit of cloud cover and very little wind. The rains from yesterday and Thursday have dried up for the most part, but there will be some wet patches scattered through the region. There's no more rain expected for the rest of the day, so I would expect the pitch at Toyota Stadium to only improve by kick-off.

Did the USA , of all countries, just fix soccer? - C. Ronaldo, May 27th commenting on the FBI-led investigations into fraud and corruption throughout FIFA.
At the beginning of this road trip, would have pointed at this game as likely to be a loss.
Still feel that way.

Did I miss anybody?
^ the looming possibility of an artificial surface upon completion of the renovations?
Lets see what happens. Personally I'd rather not see Morrow at CB.
Anybody you going to Joe's?
Cheyrou not starting ? wtf..
I like to think the Onyx jerseys are an homage.
Vanney is putting together a pretty appalling record as a head coach. Why wouldn't people be all over him?
I'd give it to ten games and if it's not looking better, off with him!
We've had this discussion. Every coach who comes in that far into the season gets a wash for them for that time.
And its been 4 games this season. With the exception of leaving Crevalle in too long at Chicago, he hasn't really done much wrong.
Columbus - that Red - arguable who was in control at the time but I just remember Higuian blowing a fuse just before that at being taken out of the game by Cheyrou and Bradley, and when he blows a fuse, Columbus is crud. So I think we would have been in with a good shout there.
RSL - disallowed goal, offside goal for them, defence consisting of 2 CD's and 2 wingers doesn't hold.
Chicago - left Crevalle in too long. Defence was crud.
His subs have been good. We've had a really efficient offence. Our team defence has not been good enough. Gotta fix it. Crevalle ain't working and Bloom is injured. So its makeshift time, just like what other teams are doing.
We'll see tonight if a couple of weeks of knowing its going to be makeshift help or not.

Kurtis Larson @KurtLarSUN 14s15 seconds ago Look for Bradley to play more advanced tonight, with Warner holding a bit more. #TFCLive
Larson also suggesting Jackson on rw and Osorio on left in a 4-1-3-1-1, with Bradley being more box to box, Warner as DM.
Toronto FC @torontofc 3m3 minutes ago Rain is expected to being minutes from kickoff and last through the game. Thunderstorm watch is on. #TFCLive
4-4-2, dare I say it?

Bench: Konopka, Zavaleta, Delgado, Lovitz, Cheyrou, Findley, Moore.
