With all due respect, we have no way of knowing stuff like this from where we stand. It's all guesswork.
People speculated Nick Garcia was the mole in the dressing room at one point; he was one of the most liked guys on the team and the MLSPU rep. He butted heads with management more than anyone.
We can speculate if he's too wooden to get the job done but it's far from a fact.
I love Hagglund (he was in my fantasy team last weekend), but that was his worst game. Not even defensively, though. Sometime in the first half, Gio passed to him and made a cut into the box...instead of passing back to Gio (looked like an easy pass) for a (we now know) 80% chance of a goal (just kidding), he passes wide to Jackson. Gio was pissed. He still got me 8 points, however, since he was credited with an assist!
Hagglund sent a nice long ball to Giovinco that resulted in a goal, although he played poor for most of the game.
A coach doesn't need to bounce around like Mariner or split his pants like Pep G.,
but those awkward Vanney training videos don't suggest that he is capable of delivering
an effective half-time dressing room motivational speech.
But, you are right, it's just speculation.
Just to clarify, are you talking about his interviews with media? Cause those are WAY more dynamic then what we get from other coaches in this league. He's actually been called a breath of fresh air compared to the usual murky don't give anything away stuff most coaches do. He ain't wooden.
And I don't think we've seen a video of him actually on the training pitch talking with players.
