Somewhat dismayed that the second place vote getter right now, from the guy in Vaughan, is about as lame as you can get.

I literally don't like any of them. Half seemed like they were whipped up in 2 minutes using MS Paint.

I entered 2, designed them with my son. We made sure to follow the rules which most did not, which states only TFC Logo colors could be used and 1 additional color of our choice. We also took in consideration that it would have to be painted so would have to be somewhat of a simple design in order to do so. Sucks its a facebook voting bomb, but the top 5 (that are not disqualified from not following the rules) will be voted on by panel of judges (MLSE and Reps from the Supporters Clubs I believe). Also if mine or my son's win, we will be their helping to paint it, and hopefully can recruit some friends to help as well (and hopefully potential future RPB).

And given SJE did that 300 banner a few weeks ago, and everybody else has done one in the last 10 years, that one better not win.

They did more to tell you what they wanted on the banner then what would work it seems.

Meh just means the majority get thrown out of the running because of it.

The design isn't the positive part of this project, it's the bringing in people to do it and have it shown to the majority of fans and supporters what really goes into this type of project. The push from the FO of what TIFO and such do to bring in people in a fun atmosphere to create something for the love of the team.

It's a good "ad" for all groups to hopefully get people more interested in groups and what were doing, and hopefully new blood that wants to take that step to becoming a part of a supporter group.

I like your banner, but it may not have been accepted as you do not own the rights to use Wolverine in your banner. FO also has to watch the butt to make sure they do not infringe on any copy rights for this contest.

Banner should be something that reflects on club, sport and city not some comic book character.

I agree with you comment - I thought the same thing , especially since I used same font the club uses - Also as per rules I could only use TFC Red, TFC Oynx, Black, and White and 1 color of my choice so I chose the RPB logo yellow for the eye.

Also wanted it to be simple enough so it can be painted easily.

Yeah, it's one thing if the supporters themselves make banners, but if the FO is involved (and endorsing/organizing this), then they're definitely going to make are there aren't any copyright/trademark issues. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if that was the sole reason the Wolverine idea was rejected.

The eagle one looks more academy to me but it's the best designed out of the group. I laugh at whoever decided to make the banner about the fans being great in a contest to support the team as clearly they don't get how support works.
