I said earlier and I'll say again the scarf shit is just idiotic and the cult bracelet is just moronic.

I want value not crap I wont use. Ideally they'd let you pick something you want such as a voucher towards new gear or something to that effect. I mean how many scarfs does one person need!

    Its frustrating.

I believe, between RPB, Adidas, Ruffneck, TFC etc, I easily have 30 plus TFC scarves, which when you think about it, it seems a little cazy.

Can't imagine it costs them more than a few dollars for the scarf/trinket.

We already get a discount on gear at the stadium, $5 more?

Being "frustrated" seems like a bit of an overkill reaction when you realize you're talking about a couple dollars worth of free stuff.

I'm in negotiations with my wife to completely cover one wall of a room with TFC scarves. Negotiations aren't going well so far.

I seem to remember a long time ago somebody making a blanket out of scarves. Could be a future project for me.

Yeah I have been saying that is my plan for years too. Would be a cool quilt I think. I, for one, want the scarves to keep coming each year.

I made blankets out of mine for my boys&I to use at the cold games and when watching TV in basement.

1 blanket is my TFC Season Scarves, the 2nd my Red Patch Boys members & Special games, and the third is made up all the free promotional scarves.

I have a lot of loose ones as well, I like the wall décor idea - may try that as well.

    (not me, but an example)

This is what I think the best use is. If you have enough room for a man cave, use your collection to cover a wall and show them off.

I know with the scarves I have (TFC and Interational) there is a story with each one, and they would be a nice conversation starters for anyone visiting

Miss the scarves not personalized with the year and Section...that made them something special way back when.

Its different for everyone. My one scarf from 105 reminds me of my ransom packs the year prior and overpaying that year for a seat I never stood in.

The reason I said what I said in taking a step back is that ive almost got enough TFC jerseys to cover me for each home game. I'm a sucker for the keeper ones since they've become available. No doubt I'll get the purple one at game 1.

And I will say the blanket idea is pretty cool.

I just had to vent I guess.

That's the pot calling the kettle black buddy.
I mean in the 8 previous seasons all the 'supporters' that support TFC on this board 'vent'. Is it justified more often than not, sure. But because I happen to voice my displeasure with the ticket package that's a faux pas?

I'm not against anyone who likes it, I personally don't.

I like the scarves, but would not be against them stopping them after year 10. After year 10 give scarf only to new season ticket holders. Then for current SSH provide a certificate towards merchandise or food at stadium (free beer?) instead of the scarf. Just an idea.

Given the amount of people who go to games who don't wear a scarf, I would say that if they stopped giving them away, scarf use would drop to the equivalent of the family section in Dallas.

That, and scarves are the one darn thing in this relationship with this team that I feel entitled too.

I couldn't care less about freebies. I know I'm a minority but not alone in buying something and expecting what I buy. I remember the year a friendly was included that I didn't want. Glad they clued into that non value bonus given.

I second that, sense of entitlement about the scarves...besides...I fear the thought of an uprising if they do decide to ditch the scarves...say in favour of mittens or toques...

And hey...quit knocking 104/105...i've held seats in 104 from year 1 at the corner flag, someone has to keep the away fans and their keeper in check...

You are now able to print any additional tickets you purchased - you just can't print your Season tickets on account manager.

but you save on munchies with the one benefit. that's huge for people that bring kids to games. It's a gnote for a family of 4 so with the discount card it becomes $999 -
I get your point on the reward system (no pun intended) but someone like myself who likes the keeper jerseys I could benefit from it depending on how it works.
And I'm sure a lot of people would prefer to buy stuff at the start of the season just because but I also understand why the majority hold off, but maybe this could change that.

Friendlies are a joke but that's another discussion lol
